I also had Bark at the Moon on album around the same time frame and I thought it was stupidest thing I ever heard, I bought the album for the cover and that was my first Ozzy experience. I then got “Just say Ozzy” on cassette tape and was just as disappointed. Needless to say I was listening to my parents Black Sabbath albums (the 1st two) and no clue. I hated Ozzy.
Now Bark at the Moon is all time fav. I think it’s better than Randy days honestly, Jake E. Lee is freaking awesome!
Just discovering Mastodon in the wake of Brent Hinds leaving the band and his tragic death just months afterwards. Had no clue about them, but they’ve soared up to the top of listening rotation, especially in the gym. Still working my way through the early stuff, going to check out a full concert recorded on YT this evening afterhours.
This used to be quite creative, but now AI enables for ease of mixing. It’s still very amusing, but this was not nearly as difficult as it to pull off in pre gpt4 era.
@ThereIruinedit however has been around for a long time. Here are some classics from ThereIruinedit
Feel free to share your favorite KISS cuts. For me, Detroit Rock City and Rock ‘n’ Roll All Nite are tied at the top of the list. I still remember getting Alive II from the public library as a kid … and “forgetting” to return it for months …
I get hung up on a different Mastodon cut every few weeks these days. Was obsessed with Oblivion for awhile, now Colony of Birchmen won’t leave me alone.
Like Lynyrd Syknyrd meets Black Sabbath meets King Crimson or something …
