While not necessarily metal, I think this band fits in this thread.
This might be one of my favorite albums of all time, and this my favorite song from the album. Musical masterpiece, and the deeper meaning is wild (as is such on the entire album).
The album is basically a musical autobiography of the singers friend Julioās end of days. He spirals down into drug addiction, depression and hallucinations. Julio ends up killing himself and this song is (in my opinion) about him coming to the realization, post mortem and through sober and clear eyes, that he was his own undoing. Every time I hear the last couple minutes of this song I get chills.
Edit: and to cap it off, another fucking outstanding mix by rick rubin, and Flea crushing it on bass. I just canāt get over how perfect it is in my eyes.

Entombed was one of my favorite bands ever! I played Left Hand Path, Stranger Aeons, and Wolverine Blues into the dirt!

I have heard these guys a few times and didnāt think much of them. Heard this song and was blown away. Definitely going to be digging back through their library again.

Gonna find it though I donāt know much about time sigs. I can only tell theyāre different and which parts they change at. I stopped counting at 20 lol.

Iāve been jamming these guys non stop for the past couple weeks. I guess one of the dudes from the band Counterparts (which is another amazing band), is in END. This is some of the most aggressive shit Iāve ever heard.
