Heating a Garage Gym

I went to Dick’s yesterday to get some cold weather gear. There is something called “Infared” that Under Armor make and it is fucking awesome. Just a long sleeve shirt with a light fleece in a weird pattern on the inside but it traps the heat in really well. Gonna have to get a few more and some of the “tights” they make.

I’ve never heard of the Infared. I don’t like the UA cold gear (although it’s been 10 years since I had any cold gear) and probably 95% of my clothes are UA (Even work clothes). I’ll have to check it out.

Yeh, I rarely even go into sports stores. All of my gym gear is just old clothes but I figured I’d take a look. It’s part of their “coldgear” line, figured I’d give it a try and I’m glad I did. It wasn’t that cold here today (38) but I still gave it a try and after 5 mins had no problems with just that shirt and some shorts.

^ That’s what I got. Expensive but also 25% off when I picked it up. Got a Nike “combat gear” shirt as well that is supposedly good for the cold that I’ll give a try tomorrow.

I’ll have to give it a look. I’ve found the older cold gear only works if you wear another shirt under it. I have no idea why though.

My friend who is a marine used to swear by the cold gear stuff when he was in college and had to go for officer training and field work and would be out for 3 nights. Then when got out of college and had to stay out longer (weeks) he said it SUCKED. I’m not sure why that is, but I always found it funny. Now he’s in flight school stationed in Florida so it doesn’t matter haha.

Sale on these right now
