Heart Surgeon: What Causes Heart Disease

Earlier I asked about inflammation and how bad is it really, thought I’d share this article:

Nice article. I wish more people would wake up to this.

This nutrition website gives very detailed analyses of all major foods, but goes even further by rating their anti-inflammation/inflammation levels:

Ya I brought that site up in a previous thread, I’d like to know how they calculate the inflammation factor in foods.

How accurate is it though? Coconut oil has an inflammation factor of -1798

Yea I always wondered about their inflammation factors. Would love to know how it’s calculated.

Yet again I am proven correct. Before, when i have said on numerous occasions that the whole cholesterol thing is one giant myth, everyone jumped on me and called me a troll. I have always said that cholesterol has nothing to do with heart disease. ON the many threads on here, where guys would worry about their cholesterol levels and what to do about it, I said, don’t worry about it.

Just goes to show, the one you think of as a troll is really the expert after all. Maybe you people should listen to what roguevampire says. You just might learn something.

when I read the article it seemed to me that he wasn’t saying that cholesterol doesn’t affect heart disease at all, but its the inflammation that makes cholesterol a problem and that if you fix the inflammation problem the cholesterol won’t be, but if you don’t then inflammation plus cholesterol = heart issues.

Maybe if enough people email them, they will reveal how its calculated

^lol

The whole cholesterol myth is a marketing scheme to sell medications, along with ADHD etc… Money train.

lol @ “calculated”

Statins save lives when given to the right patient. (Those who have had strokes or heart attacks) Most people should of course try eating real food and exercising first.

This, at this point Dr’s cant make people stop eating at McDonalds, but they damn well can put them on statins to reduce part of the issue.

Of course the lay person or paranoid person things big pharma or Docs are just trying to make money.

Fat boy, bhahahaahahahahah. I’d bet my life, that if we walked into any club/bar/anywhere and asked people, who do you think is more jacked, I can guarantee you, without a shadow of a doubt, they would all say me, without hesitation. Its nice and easy for little guys, to call me fat. “oh, hes just fat” that is a famous line, uttered by many a little guy.

You’re absolutely (of course) right that pharma companies cannot stop people eating fast food, but I am 100% sure that even if they could, they sure as hell wouldn’t.

Don’t you get tired of yourself? I mean even as a weird troll persona, this HAS TO become tiresome at some point.

Alright you two, stop hijacking my thread with this trolling, take it to off topic.

@yarni and dereik,

I agree the best solution of for people to change their diets, but most people won’t because to them taking a pill everyday is easier or they are simply uneducated, and there are a lot more companies profiting off peoples poor health decisions than the pharmaceuticals

You are right, but at least big pharma while being a business IS in the business of at least curing/treating disease. Do you really want them to stop developing meds?

How long would it take until a simple skin infection kills off half the population?
