Hey guys I wonder if you all had a recipe for a General Tso’s style sauce to use in a healthy Chicken and rice dish…Ive heard its pretty simple to make, but the main ingredient is sugar! Anyone tried substituting splenda and it turned out thick and gooey like the normal stuff?
Haven’t tried it, but after a quick “google” it seems splenda is an alright substitution. I’ll try giving it a whirl this week and post back if you haven’t found out.
well guys I did it!!! And it is dang good!! especially on grilled chicken and brown rice…what I was mainly looking for was a healthy way to make the sauce and add it to my meals…
Well here ya go…I substituted splenda for sugar and rice wine for white wine and white vinegar for rice vinegar…its was really good!!! TRY IT!

Thanks for that recipe, I’m definitely going to try it.
Of course, being on the V-Diet, anything containing solid food sounds delicious ![]()
I made this for my wife tonight since I am on the V-Diet and she thought it was good. I didnt use enough peppers to get it spicy. Thanks for the post of the recipe.
I have had one other one for Tso’s and it was a lot of time to prep and with the grilled chicken already made all we had to do was mix up a small amount of sauce and she was good to go.
This is one of my favorite chinese foods and I think I wil make myself a nice helping in about 8 days when I am done with this diet.
