yes they do, but the normal range in my lab is 70-230… my natural was around 70… i started GH doing 3iu once a day, and my IGF was 170… on 1iu twice a day its around 130-140…
if we want to maximize IGF, at least for me, it would take shitton of GH just to get to high-end normal levels… idk, maybe im just broken and my genetics suck.
Do you know for sure whether it was pharma GH? I think UGL is often underdosed and requires more.
The range on my labs is 50-330 and I’m at 120 naturally. I hope 1iu twice a day would get me above 130-140. I’m starting next week, so I’ll get labs maybe 4-5 weeks in and post them here.
No, its definetly UGL, but as i mentioned, 2-3 hours after doing 1iu, my level is tripple the norm… i havent used other HGH products as that stuff is expensive and i am not at all wealthy, so im using it for anti aging and as i said - HOPEFULY being over the normal level of GH levels, will give me some benefits in 10 years in form of longevity. I cant really afford to experiment with other/better GH products.
Same hope here. Even if I get nothing out of it other than the supposed improved sleep, it would probably be worth it for me. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in 20 years.
Now if I get shiny nails on top of good sleep…holy shit, I’m in for life.
Hmm. My IGF-1 was 134 before starting Tesamorelin/Ipamorelin, which keeps it 300+. My hope was that actual HGH would put it higher than that at 3-4iu daily.
does not do that for me and my sleep sucks also…
i believe yes… because rising IGF is only one of the things that GH does, as far as i understand…
i think this IGF and GH is something like test and E2 - different people get different levels and react differently, only in this case IGF is a good thing.
i dont know too much about GH, all i know is that my blood shows that my GH does work, and i know my IGF doubled, but it was crappy to begin with and now is only mid-range normal…
anyways, not like i can afford to use more, and not like i cant grow - its been like 9-10 months since i joined fatass club and i have gained around 40lbs and 1,5 inch to my biceps and i do still have some fatman abs SLIGHTLY squeezing through my belly…
anyways, as i mentioned, many athletes say that GH is not worth the money for actual growth purposes so it would be interesting to know, does double the IGF actually make a huge difference.
im sure more is better, im just thinking - how much better… or maybe im just calming myself down about how crappy my IGF is, even tho my GH levels are good…
EDIT - what i think i get from GH is that i dont really feel physically broken anymore. I used to be worn down in pains and aches from my training(i push heavy towards my powerlifting goals) and now i just dont feel like my body is beat up… i still get the same overtraining, but now its more CNS fatigue as in - i lose libido, i lose my will to train(even tho its my favourite thing in the world) and i just get a crappy mood… but as far as my body goes - i dont get the physical feeling of overtraining and i am veeeery prone to overtraing… id be maxing out all lifts every day if i could ![]()
Good read Hank. I guess I have not taken this long enough to notice anything yet. On day 1 I got sleepy but 3 days later I had insomnia and did not go to bed until 3am. I still get DOMs the day after a heavy workout and it sometimes lasts for 2 days so that has not changed, yet. I think I am feeling a little stronger at the gym I am still upping my weight and yet I am off my cycle and just running 100mg/wk of T cyp and nothing else.
Interesting how different those ranges are from lab to lab. I think what hank said is correct, in the sense that you could have the same IGF-1 levels as a 20yo without great IGF-1 levels but it doesn’t mean you’d get all of the benefits he gets from his 20yo GH production.
On those labs, are you on TRT? Your E2 is pretty low for someone on Test, right around where I’m trying to get mine as an experiment right now.
Most of the time I am taking anastrozole.
My body hates an E2 over 40 and 24 is my sweet spot.
I believe this is because my SHGB is very low so an E2 of 40 means I have a ton of free E2 and that shit sucks. It is the opposite of Free T.
Makes sense, thanks. I think I’m the same with E2 and my SHBG is 45 (started at 80 before TRT).
I’ve noticed when I took c-17 alpha alkylated hormones my recovery time would be insane.
I could hit any given body part flat out for hours, wake up the next day and do it all over again if I felt up to it (but I wouldn’t, who works legs two days in a row… That’s just sadistic!)
Did you notice anything similar on anavar? I don’t think I’ve ever taken real oxandrolone, though I’ve taken oxymetholone at 12-25mg/day for durations of up to one week. Powerful stuff
I’ve tried this. Winny is at least 3x stronger in my opinion, for both side effects and cosmetic effects
Send bloods when you get lipids checked on winny. I’ve seen HDL as low as 3 on stanozolol. I’m curious as to how 12.5mg vs 25mg/day affects you.
12.5mg probably won’t do all that much aside from adding strength and some “fullness” to your physique.
25mg/day is a fairly common dose within the PED world, gainz would be fairly substantial. I’ve heard of people gaining 4-5 lbs over 6 weeks on stanozolol. See if you can get injectable stanozolol.
I did not feel like my recovery was quicker but I would hold a pump for up to 3 days. I work out 5 days a week 1 muscle group per day. By Thursday I would wake up and my entire body would have a hard on. It feels fantastic. I also did not fatigue as quickly. I would lose track of time and workout for 90 minutes when 60 minutes usually kicks my butt.
I noticed this on dianabol (wouldn’t recommend taking this as it’s quite a bit more toxic than anavar). 15mg/day had me in the gym for upwards of 180 minutes per session. I’d hammer two body parts, then run a 5k on the treadmill followed by 15-20 minutes of stationary bike or rowing machine… I REAAALLLY miss those workouts, they were absolutely insane.
During my cardio craze last year on 75-100mg test/wk I built up to running 5-6km + cycling 20-30km + 1 hr of elliptical per day. Ended up with stress fractures though as I built up to this quickly going from nothing to the routine above within around a month. It was during lockdown, I was injured and thus couldn’t lift weights but needed something to pass the time.
In my opinion it’s harder to excel in weight training than it is to become good at running. A ten rep set of deadlifts provided the weight is heavy enough you reach failure at the tenth rep will have you wanting to pass out/throw up by the second set. To replicate this intensity through jogging is much harder (sprinting is a different story)
Oh to be your age again. cardio’s to me is 12 minutes on the stationary bike just to get my resting heart rate up from 58 to 72. An I am done with cardio. I really enjoy pushing heavyweights around the gym. My lower back will not let me near the barbell racks. I watch with envy at the 30-year-olds doing clean and jerks, ass to grass squats. Deadlifts with 4,5,6 plates aside. My time has come and passed. I can’t do those. But I love watching those that can. I hope that does not make me queer? I have to use machines, cables, dumbells whatever it takes to hit the muscle group without injury. It really sucks there is so little advice out there for guys my age trying to build muscle and avoid injury.
Hey man, you’ve mentioned your injuries in several posts over the last few months/years.
Given your vast knowledge of human biology and gear (for lack of a better term), I’m assuming you already know about this, but have you ever tried peptides like BPC-157/TB-500 or GH?
People seem to be getting pretty dramatic healing results on those, especially BPC/TB.
Yes
No, too expensive. Currently on ipamorelim/cjc 1295 + a smidgen of ostarine (keep in mind these are on script, not through the black market) in effort to try recover a little bit fast following surgery that I had a few days ago.
Was thinking about acquiring some TB-500/BPC157 again, though I have to ration my income. At this point in time I don’t have the financial means to acquire more peptides… Well I do, but then my food and petrol budget for this week would be seriously sub-par!
Shit man, sorry to hear that. I have a bunch of nagging injuries that never went away at my age, but probably nothing close to what you’re talking about. I hope you find something that helps.
