“Loose-lipped” prostitutes aren’t likely to go far in the biz. A tight seal is paramount.

Oh, I get it now. You’re just pissed cause you think the pickings will be slim for you this year. So, when you hook up with these guys which one of you plays Santa? And who’s receiving?

I give you a C+, for effort.

Who is this guy? Is he a big deal in Colorado?
He’s got a 14,000 member congregation at his church, and he is (was) the president of the National Association of Evangelicals.
“Message from the President”

The NAE is composed of sixty member denominations representing 45,000 churches across America
Maybe the White House can get Jeff Gannon to do some investigative journalism on this story. I bet he’d have an inside scoop.

I just read that Haggerd is featured prominently in the documentary “Jesus Camp” about how evangelicals are indoctrinating children.

seriously though is this national news ?
what am i missing ?

He is the leader of a group that has had perhaps the greatest influence on American Politics, of any single group of individuals, for close to 30 years or more.

i see. but i really don’t see what the big deal is. given all the supporters he has i actually think it’s worse, for the rest of the world, that he resigned. it’s not like he was killing people or stealing. surely this is a great opportunity for them to exercise some christ-like forgiveness ? though if he stayed on some of those people would have to come back down to earth…i guess that’s the real problem isn’t it ?

Did anyone here know this guy’s name before this scandal?

Yeah, he’s actually a pretty big deal. He’s up there with Focus on the Family’s Dobson and Pat Robertson, he’s been a vocal leader of the anti-gay rights movement for several years now. President of the National Association of Evangelicals is a fairly high level and visible position, at least if you are an Evangelical, I guess.

He was also the leader of a 14,000 member church that fired him today, for “sexually immoral conduct”.

It’s the same sort of hyper-hypocrisy that brought down Swaggert and Jim Baker years ago. “Do as I say from the pulpit, not as I do in a hotel room 75 miles up the road.” Further proof that those who make the most noise about how disgusting homosexual behavior is might have some latent homosexual tendencies of their own.

Right zebbie? ivan? You guys listening, or are you busy getting a “massage”?

I’m not an evangelical christian, so no, I didn’t know his name before this. I didn’t go to see “Jesus Camp” I figured it was a rental. Now I might go see it in the theater.

Ask the evangelicals here, they probably knew of him… He was in charge of a evangelical organization with an estimated 30 million members. He had a weekly conference call with the President or one of his staffers, for the last 6 years.

I’d say that makes it a national story.

I wonder if this story will change anyone’s mind, about the idea that being gay is a “choice” and not something you are naturally drawn to.

Do you think this reverend made a choice to have a gay side, or was he struggling with an internal aspect of his nature?

With all the negativity in society regarding homosexuality, why would anybody want to make a conscious choice to be gay, or have a gay aspect to their personality? ESPECIALLY a reverend or minister, who is involved in fighting against gay marriage. The idea that it was all due to Haggert’s choice and nothing more, just defies all logic.

It’s going to make the evangelical crazies associate “gayness” with prostitution and meth.

Yeah, and SATAN tempted him.

Oh well.

No. If anything it will make them more homophobic.

Here’s the logic: See how clever and powerful Satan is! He turned one of our best and brightest into a cock-gobbler!

Think what a veritable cum-fest it will be for your sons and brothers and fathers and grandpas if you “normalize” faggotry by allowing gay marriage. People won’t be able to sit still in church because their assholes will be inflamed from buggery!

Get out and vote, before Satan turns you into a nut-licking fruitloop. Amen.

The fact is I am guilty of sexual immorality. And I take responsibility for the entire problem. I am a deceiver and a liar. There’s a part of my life that is so repulsive and dark that I have been warring against it for all of my adult life," he said.

Sounds to me like the guy is naturally homosexual… it’s not a matter of being “homosexual by choice”. He tried to repress his true nature, and he couldn’t contain it forever.

You guys are NUTS!

Agree…do what you want; BUT…

It’s just a strange part of human nature, isn’t it?

Often (certainly not always), it seem that the more someone seems to “Crusade” against something, the more likely it is that they are fighting their own inner “demons”?

Mufasa
You’re full of shit. There are literally thousands of ministers who are against homo marriage and not getting it on with another man.

People like you pick the one or two exceptions to the rule.

Go away.
