I thought I would share this with you guys so you could get a laugh or scare out of it like I did.
This morning I went to my doctor for just a regular follow up exam. I reported to him that I was concerned about my testicular shrinkage after having been on TRT for over a year. My testicles are now about half the size they used to be. I don’t have any testicular pain and my sex life is great so other than the smaller size it’s not a big deal I guess. I mentioned HCG injections to possibly bring them back to normal size.
You know what his idea was? He wanted me to have my testicles removed and have implants put in! I was so horrified at the thought of this it made me speechless. I couldn’t laugh either.
I guess I could see it if I was post testicular cancer and one or both were removed because of it. Anyway, this idea seemed crazy to me. I don’t know what to think about it. He gave me a referral to see a urologist. Maybe I can talk some sense into this doctor in letting me go on HCG injections instead of this radical move.
Has anybody ever been told this or had it done for merely cosmetic reasons? Can you believe some of these doctors and their wacky ideas instead of proven ones like HCG injections?
Dear Lord, get a different doc. How do they get such warped thinking? Too much focus on disease.
Anyway, with the way stem cell research is going, your testes might be able to be restored to full function 20 years from now. However, they’re prob going to need one of your androgen producing cells to make it work. Somehow, I don’t think testicular transplants are going to be as far along in your lifetime, with that pesky immune system getting in the way.

I’ve heard of this: a guy got his testes removed and replaced with onions, of all things. Trouble was, he’d get a major wood every time he passed a McDonald’s.
I do know someone who had one testical removed due to it dying so to speak from the blood vessels getting twisted and cutting off the supply to one testical. Sorry for the lack of a more technical explanation.
It was then replaced with a fake one for cosmetic reasons.
However this story is nothing like yours. That doctors is extremely out to lunch in my opinion.

If your life and sex life is great then what is the problem?
Are you a Porn Star or in some other field that requires you to display or have your testicles photographed or videotaped?
(My guess is that your doctor was joking and/or trying to get you to see that if TRT is working and your life is great why are you worried about your ball size.)

If the bat works, who cares about the balls???
JMHO, YMMV

There is no problem other than having a small sack now. I told the doctor it wasn’t really a problem because I function normally. No, I’m not a porn star and the only person who sees my balls is my wife. I was just trying to get the doctor to possibly let me do HCG because my nuts had shrunk. He was dead serious about the implants. I’m not going to do it. I just thought he was crazy for me giving me a referral to someone to do it or think that I would.
When I saw this OP title, I was excited. Reading it I was surprised. However, my “wonderful” urologist, the same one telling me I was heading for a penile implant, also threw in I might some day want testicle implants (silicone nuts) eventually. He didnt get specific, like suggesting maybe they could be added onto the little things left after a few more years shrinkage.
What a depressing subject. But I gather like most here, I really pay very little attention to the size of my nuts (if I had, I would have noticed the severe shrinkage a lot sooner.) The "bat" is the thing, is it not? If that shrank just a quarter inch I'd probably notice that and not like it even if the wife was still content with it.
I guess if I was younger and in public showers a lot like in my college days, I might get neurotic about the shrunken sack thing. But I've got enough things to be neurotic about already in my life.
But if anybody signs up for "nut augmentation surgery," it would make for an interesting thread. lol Doc

Anyone who does surgery to make a guys balls bigger, except in the case of a car wreck or something, is a money grabbing prick witchdoctor. Making money because someone wants bigger balls? Where in the flaming fuck is the integrity?
If I was a surgeon and someone asked me to do this, I’d kick his ass out of my office, the fucking moron!

And every time he and his g/f have sex, she complains of heart burn. But the worst part is, every time he urinates his eyes water… I apologize for this, I just remembered the rest of this really old joke.

The problem with that E-loo is that the testes make most of the pregnenolone - which is responsible for neural steroid production and makes the raw material for DHEA and many other steroids found naturally in the body. Plus, they are critical for LH production - a must, considering LH receptors are scattered throughout the body, especially in the brain.
The important thing regarding HCG and keeping the testes active is that LH is released by the pituitary gland and the LH receptors are in the testes, as well as other places.
