I heard every other day, or daily hcg along with EOD test or ED test gave the most consistent results. In what ways was that dosing schedule the best?
Not sure I catch your meaning. Most docs that prescribe HCG typically use a 500iu per injection protocol right?
I’m a little confused because your opening statement said I was wrong, but then you ended by stating exactly the same thing I did, that 500IU injections were considered the best protocol.
Yeah I won’t, just wanted to know my options in case my SHBG ends up being sky high. They didn’t test it before I got on TRT so no idea where I am at.
Gotcha brother, understood. Hope your test results are great and you don’t need much by way of treatment! Fewer medications the better ![]()
@bmbrady77 which opening statement?
No man will feel as good on HCG monotherapy as he will on TRT even if you achieve the same levels. This has been demonstrated over and over again.
Here is the study:
This one…
You said it wasn’t general consensus replying to a post where I stated that dosing of 500iu was a general consensus, but then you said that the study concluded that 500iu per dose WAS the best protocol. You’re telling me I’m wrong and agreeing with me in the same post.
That’s what confused me lol.
HCG only stimulates half of the testicles and is HPTA suppressive. HCG doesn’t activate all hormonal pathways.
It’s no wonder TRT is more effective.
Ah! What I meant to say is that it’s not just a ‘general consensus’ (meaning what people have just randomly decided). It’s actual proven fact. I had to do all this research prior to starting HCG for fertility. I just couldn’t handle 3 times a week as it RUINED me. Two times a week made me feel like dogshit but at least I knew it was temporary. I will never touch that stuff again. I told my wife if she is crazy enough to have another child with me (lol!) then it will be whatever it will be without the HCG.
Ok that makes sense. FWIW I meant the term “general consensus” as “generally agreed upon”. Damn Canadians. We gotta teach you guys everything! Lol
Lol! I know what you meant! But there are lots of things that are generally agreed upon that aren’t necessarily true. I prefer true. If it can be demonstrated over and over to me, by multiple people, I’m convinced. The study went into great detail. I followed the recommendations and it worked for me as well as other people who did the same.
So now I can say the same about your ‘damn Americans’ ![]()
I will give you guys bacon, poached eggs, and hockey. The rest I may have to put my foot down on though!!
The women… Come to Montreal and you’ll see what I mean ![]()
That was the Dr Crisler method… Using daily hcg. I never found any literature that demonstrated that it was better than what the study I posted indicated.
less spikes in levels, and more consistent since the half life of HCG is a lot lower then test. From what I read anyways, I would read up on it if you are interested in checking it out. And yes it was from the Crisler method.
Not sure I have had guys that like HCG mono-therapy better. One friend of mine, who has been on for about 15 years, likes HCG more than testosterone.
I am curious to see if your DHEA S levels come up @bmbrady77 , and to see if you feel better with HCG, most men report that they do, in my experience.
Also on the partial suppression comment @systemlord , even though HCG is partially suppressive, testosterone is more suppressive, so I am not following the logic on that argument you have there.
Keep in mind I am not an advocate for HCG mono-therapy, I am on testosterone myself. Just happened to know a guy who actually started a forum and many of the guys posting there did HCG mono-therapy and felt great. Also we have a couple dozen clients that do it and like it.
I like your march numbers better, you don’t want SHBG dropping too low.
I as well have seen HCG provide great results on this forum, but this is not always the case.
TRT is more effective in that it will work when the other options fail.
