Have You Ever Beta Orbited a Girl

Btw don’t lie to @dt79 he’s like columbo but with more time. He will catch you.

“One more thing…”

You know, fun fact. I actually found tnation because it used to have a steroids articles section. The guy who got me into lifting runs cycles and whatnot. Despite the fact that I’m a bitch with needles AND wouldn’t trust a non pharmacy with something I’m injecting into myself, it’s a super interesting area of science imo.

THEN, THERE I WAS, LURKIN THROUGH PHARMA, and I stumble across a PWI thread with a clickbaity title.
Click into it. There’s some guy named Raj, he’s talkin about race stuff.
OUT OF NOWHERE, it would seem, a couple people suddenly PILE onto said Raj character and completely take what appeared to be a factual statement way out of context.
Insert white knight pfury moment: “Well to be fair blah blah he’s right blah blah”
SUDDENLY, with equal yet opposite speed (probably the span of 10 posts), this once likable Raj character devolves to a series of race based thinkings that even my grandpa would scoff at
Pfury mind sees username, it’s Raj. Racist guy wouldn’t have Raj as his username as a joke. Mind computing. Circuits frying… Indian guy… Racist against Indians…

Edit: FTR, I do train… most of the time. I’m just on a bulking cycle. Much bulkier than @flipcollar, but still 12 pack abs

Similar to this guy. Like I said, there are a few legitimate things to be concerned about, e.g, diversity quotas, but an honest conversation cannot happen when he’s dishonestly conflating them with a host of mostly irrelevant things to arrive at a faulty conclusion to push an agenda.

I don’t even really care that much whether people do train or not, especially not people posting in the “Off Topic” section, nor whether they bother to keep a training log. I just found it curious that anyone here would have to ask “what’s a training log?” - whether you keep one or not, how has anyone ever posted in these forums without knowing the answer to this question?

I keep telling myself that’s all I’m going to use this forum for: my log and to watch others and learn from their stuff.

I just can’t avoid argument threads. They’re fun.

Is your log still up @ActivitiesGuy ?

I’m just hoping all of us appreciated the comedy that a guy who doesn’t even have an accurate perspective of their own physique is supposed to be a reliable source when it comes to perceived social trends.

It wounds me that you ask, good sir…

It fell off my “unread” queue. Damnit, it’s like the T-Nation algorithms don’t want me stalking you. Nice curtains btw.

not denying that some will. I aged out of that a long long time ago. Like when I was 24, I’d say. I dated a girl that was way out of my league looks-wise. For almost 2 years. She was an awful person, I learned from the experience, and never valued looks the same way again.

Your observation is definitely accurate about some people though. I’m always amazed by the celebrities and wealthy people in general who put up with bat shit crazy, annoying women who look like 9’s and 10’s. It makes zero sense to me.

then why you giving other people shit for being divorced?

Similar situation. I lost interest in a pretty face with no ability to hold a conversation early into college.

Attractiveness gets boring pretty quickly.

See … his problem is he attributes all of “us” as “T-Nation” where as we are all individuals, complete with a variety of experiences, opinions, and observations, and T-Nation happens to the be platform on which we share these thoughts and feelings about said various experiences, etc.

He doesn’t seem to be able to acknowledge the spruces, the oaks, and the maple for the forest.

Plus it’s gone by 35. That’s a long time to be stuck with a boring woman once she’s destroyed.

See, I still don’t think he’s being dishonest … I think he has a superficial, at best, understanding about what’s talking about. He’s misused terms and references to many things throughout this thread that would sound smart to people who don’t know better (mostly stats terms, unable to understand his biased observations, etc. - you’ve made reference to this) and he’s too arrogant to even consider this possibility…

I agree.

If I could spell Dunning Kruger syndrome, I’d blame it on that.

I mean there’s a clear anti-oak agenda going on, what with the maples being sold a rotten bill of goods based on the idea that they too deserve some sunlight. Amirite?

When I was younger I always heard ‘saw’ as ‘sword’ and I’d just imagine dudes with like katanas hacking away at trees which is a lovely visual.

It took me a good 10 years of being aware of the song to finally hear that part of the song for what it is

I dunno. Even if I give him the benefit of the doubt, those were flat out misrepresentations on his part of past exchanges that I quoted.
