Here’s to arguably the greatest leader in the history of professional sports. To non hockey fans this won’t mean that much, but this guy never wore an NHL jersey aside from the winged wheel for 22 seasons and exemplified everything that greatness and relentless courage is, on and off the ice. I actually got choked up watching his glorious number 19 retired and raised to rafters of Joe Louis Arena alongside Howe, Lindsay, Delvecchio, Sawchuk and Abel. We love you Stevie.
