Hate Shopping for Jeans

Great idea! I’ll have to give that a try tonight and post the pic tomorrow.

Let’s all keep our fingers crossed that the mods let it go through!

i find it more frustrating when trying to buy a suit of the shelf, because they generally won’t let you change trousers. When you need a 48 jacket, for example, the pants that go with them are like 40+ waist when you need like a 32 or 34.

wtf is this thread , some kind of frustrated shoppers support group ?

You’re shopping at the wrong stores. I"ve been mixing and matching for years. Its the only way to go.

IF you’re looking to spend big dough on high-end, funky, beat-up-looking, slightly ripped, very cool-looking jeans (I mean in the neighborhood of $200), I highly recommend a brand called PRPS. A little hard to find, but some of the more funky designer stores might have them.

Now, I still need to buy a size larger with them and have the waist taken in 2 inches (I normally wear a 34 but I buy a 36 in these and have them altered), but that works like a charm. Plenty of room in the thigh, seat, etc. I have tried on EVERY brand of jeans, and the most “loose” or “relaxed” model of each, from run-of-the-mill Levis and Wranglers to designer brands like Seven, Chip & Pepper, Blue whatever (?) . . . ALL of them. There was not ONE other brand that I could even get on past my upper thighs, even when I went up a size in them.

And I don’t like the super-baggy B-ball-style jeans (anyone could fit into a tent!) – I’m talking about normal, cool-looking, well-fitting jeans. Check 'em out.

Cool thanks. I don’t know how I feel about spending that much on jeans, but it’s worth looking into.

i usually just wear levi’s 569 or dickies work pants. the levis usually fit pretty loosely, and I’ve found that the Dickies usually sit a little higher and have a better waist to thigh size ratio.

I must be LOSING it!

Every time this thread comes up, I keep reading it as:

I’d hate shopping for him too. What the hell would you buy him?

I think I just threw up in my mouth a little bit…

Try Bullhead jeans from Pacific Sunwear (Pac Sun). I love the way they fit, and they are pretty affordable (usually $34.99 or 2 for $60). They are my favorite style of jeans.

Levi’s 559 and 569 are good also for what you are looking for.

But yeah, I feel ya bro. It always seems the best fitting jeans are the ones you already have, and don’t want to break in a new pair of jeans.[/quote]

You pay $35 for jeans? Mine cost $20 for 2 and they last years and fit perfectly (although im in england. but i did the exchange rate)

Am I the only one still waiting for the picture?

Gloves. Otherwise the M&Ms fall through his hands.

No way, I NEVER spend that much for jeans. The pair I found were actually on sale for 14.99 at a discount store. But you can buy them at Pac Sun, and I know the chances of him finding Bullhead jeans at a discount store are pretty slim.

Yeah I try not to spend too much for clothes. Why pay $50 for jeans when you can get the same jeans for $20 somewhere else?

American Eagle and Express aren’t bad.

But while on the topic of paint, here is me when I met body paint wonder woman on halloween.

Let’s hope so.

Sorry gals (and some guys, I guess), the paint irritated my man-parts, and I was left running screaming into the night, diving into the snow to try to wash it off.

That didn’t go over so well, either.

Maybe next time!
