Hate My Teacher

Alright, sounds like you got a case.
Write down everything she says next time she starts doing it. Type it up, make it look all purty. Take it to the school administration and tell them you’re tired of the harassment and want a response to this inappropriate behavior. Saying something along those lines with some professionalism will probably get her in trouble.

Harassment? Are you fucking kidding me? Kid doesn’t get to class on time, and sits there staring off into space, and if the teacher calls him on it a couple of times she’s “harassing him?”

Christ, every other fucking thread on this site is about the pussification of society, but this kid comes on here to whine about a teacher actually trying to help him along in his work, and it’s harassment and he should report her. This is beyond pathetic.

A case? A case of sand in the vagina.

Hahaha, Uncle Gabby for the /thread.

Ahzaz, maybe get better then a C and she won’t be such a problem?

Dude, this gig could land you millions! Next time she does it just sue her for harassment.

Yeah, the part that stood out to me was that she called your house. Teachers don’t have time to do that where I come from. It means she cares about how you’re doing. Or she just wants to fuck with you. Keep your head down, do your work, and stop expecting to be treated decently. This is high school. Just be grateful you’re not getting your ass kicked for being smart at math.

How big is your school? The fact that she called your house on a Sunday suggests that it’s not too big.

From the sound of it, it sounds like she thinks you’re slacking. Because your post was full of excuses why you weren’t doing what you were supposed to be doing, so she may be right. You’re lucky she cares enough to give you a kick in the ass. Pick up the pace.[/quote]

Thanks for saving me the time to write the above. Two other things

  1. as far as the excuses go, I like that you just “decided” to hand your assignment in on monday, because, get this, you were on a student committee, and “most other” teachers let you hand it in a day late. Welcome to the real world, where people have multiple commitments and still manage to fulfill them, and different teachers have different policies

  2. In this entire post nowhere did you say that you spoke to the teacher except when called on, or asked why you were late. If you really have a problem, go talk to her, but dont make it about petty crap like “you make fun of me to the other class.” Even if she used your name, relax, you werent copying down notes, she doesnt care that its because you were fasting just roll with it

This recently happened to my little brother, who is dyslexic. Once the teacher found out, she was much more understanding. He’s a smart kid and works hard. In your situation I would see if you could meet with your teacher and express your interest in math and your desire to do well. If she sees that you will work hard, she’ll have a hard time calling you out. Also, I’d mention to her that you were fasting due to Ramadan. She can’t very well hold that against you.

If that doesn’t work, then you’ll just have to work extra hard to do well on the tests and balance it. School sucks sometimes, but if you keep your nose to the grindstone and pick up good habits it will pay off down the road.

Don’t let her expectations constrain you, and make sure that you are doing a good job all the time, better than everyone else.

edit: I know we’re in an anti fat culture here on T-Nation, but just because someone is fat does not mean they are mean/stupid. This may very well be the case, but don’t judge someone until you know them.

If she’s only picking on two students, you’re lucky - she actually seems to care about you.

Now’s a good time to learn how to act in the real world.

If you get caught spacing out, go to her later and apologize. Explain you are fasting, but you don’t want any special treatment. If she notices you spacing out, let her know you appreciate getting your attention in a respectful matter.

If you are going to hand in something late, let her know in advance. She is still justified in giving you a penalty. It’s just polite to do - otherwise she may spend time thinking about why you were late, and if she needs to come up with a strategy to help you out. In the real world, a boss would need to figure out a contingency plan.

However, if you feel you are being picked on for something that really doesn’t matter (bling), you need to tell her. You are being picked on for coming to class late though.

You’re 14 and you have a Rolex??

I never had this much drama in kindergarten.

Tell the principal that the teacher touches you down there.

doh, you beat me to it!

and a CHAIN?!?

Speak to her and find out why.

Nothing worse than speculation.

We had a test today, i did horribly.
I didnt get my result back but i know when i did bad. I did think that she might just want me to kick my ass into high gear, but it doesnt seem like it when theres other students doing much worst and she herself said that i dont deserve special treatment on the day that i handed in my assignment.

@RageInspired
I dont really consider this harrassment, and also I would rather suffer than report to the office. 2 Years ago my friends teacher was very rude to him, so he asked the principle to let him switch classes. After his teacher found out, she made the rest of his year hell.

@UncleGabby
Theres a difference between actually trying to help me with my work and treating me like a dumbfuck who cant finish his work. Other teachers help nicely, she looks at me like i just asked her the worlds must stupidest question.

Im planning on just grinding through it.

My Spanish teacher once called and left a message saying I was a good student that helped the other kids. My high school has about 2800 students, so I don’t know if you consider that big.

But, sometimes you get teachers that pick on you. That happened to me in science. He tried to call me out on any mistake, but I made sure it never happened. Anyways, when you have a teacher that always picks you, at least in my case, you just work a lot harder to prove him or her wrong.

teachers can be big ass bitches… I like my teachers haha

…Go to your councilor. Tell her the teacher is making you feel uncomfortable and it is disrupting your learning environment. It will stop the next day.

Unless she has tenure. In which case, sucks to be you.

you really think that some kid snitching on a teacher to a co-worker is going to help anything?
she can defend herself by saying he is slacker and a screw up.
they will beleive her over him any day I bet.
I say kid needs to do better and allow this to roll off his back, some things you cant control or change.
other peoples attitudes is one of these things

me personaly doubt it.
but it may work
again unless she has tenure
