I’m totally in on that. Your ability to still progress while dropping weight is quite impressive, by the way. How much have you lost by now?

Thursday evening:

Big ass dumbbell push jerk (it’s not a circus db, so I don’t want to call it that)

Up to a single at 125 with my right. Pretty fun, I wanna do a strongman comp some time in the distant future.

yeah I’m not going out there. It’s been like goddamn crematoria this whole day.

Just doing a ton of band triceps, biceps, and pullaparts in my nice AC

I got a day pass to the gym today cause of the heat. Turns out they’re shutting down next week. They got tires, prowlers, bumper plates, a whole bunch of power racks, and their description on yelp freakin TELLS you to bring chalk. WTF is wrong with people.

Friday afternoon:

It was hot in the gym anyway. Oh well…

DL - up to a fail at 350, then 2 or 3 very short rest singles at 325, then 6 or 7 very short rest doubles at 295. I didn’t keep the bar sucked in against my shins with my lats on the 350 attempt.

DB rows (strapless) 4 sets of 8ish with 90. Got a little lat pump, but this was mostly challenging for my grip

More later

Nice back picture there buddy. We want front pics and wheels aswell?

Did you have a haircut in-between taking those back pics?

Uncle Bird.

dem getaway sticks. Don’t stare at my junk

Bro… In your first back pic your shoulders look AWESOME. Great work man!

^ Thanks man, OHP and band pullaparts!

friday night:

A few heavy front ssquats

Yer your shoulders do look awesome. Nice legs aswell.

thanks bird, shoulder strength used to be a huge weak point for me!

Saturday afternoon:

Yay the heats gone!

Bench - mostly singles
Close grip - lots of heavy 5’s, 2’s, singles

This was pretty terrible, I just barely failed a CG bench of 215 (after a bunch of volume but I still should have gotten it)

My CG is definitely stronger than my regular grip. (maybe cause I get more momentum out of the bottom with the increased ROM?) So I now feel free to do nothing but close grip.

I can’t unrack 185 reverse grip… I gotta rebuild that thing, I’ve had enough problems unracking from it.

BW triceps extensions on the edge of the bathtub - bunch of high rep sets

ghetto workouts like a baws

Jacked and tan. (although they cheated on the tan part. No racist)

Sunday afternoon:

I don’t want to hurt my DL tomorrow, but I haven’t squatted heavy in a while. So I just did one set.

Squat - up to a double at 315. Form feels great and I buried it. (estimated 1RM is 335)

Unracking RGBP is really difficult, I used to get a lift off at about 80-100kg and I could do an easy triple at 120kg.

MOnday morning:

jumps, my vertical feels real good

Since my squat just goes up pretty much without me trying, I’m just gonna let it drive my DL. Deadlift is back to once a week and squat three times a week. For reps on DL days, heavy the other two days.

So 405 DL is still my goal, but squatting is my focus now (the way it should be!)

Doing this makes good mornings higher priority than front squats though.

I guess I can’t go all lone wolf on heavy reverse grip then. Too bad.

You can do them from pins

^ Good plan, I gotta make pins for my rack anyway

Monday afternoon:

DL - Two 1 minute rest singles at 325. (which is 96% of last weeks 1RM) Not as smooth as I thought they’d be.
Squat - 255 x 8, 275 x 6, 295 x 4. Deep and hard. (the higher reps were a mistake, they made me slow. I’ll just stick to 4’s next time)

also, im a fair amount leaner recently for no clear reason. Maybe cause I’ve been sleeping more lately?

Monday night:

Good mornings - 225 (-10) was a bit too much, so I did a bunch of sets at 205. My erectors were quite engorged.
Front squat - low reps, though not much volume this time around. No PR either, they were folding my abs over.

meh, I’ll adapt
