Lol, just wear a rubber, and don’t ride in cars with drunk drivers…
(Man did I feel like one of those old people I hated when I was 17 typing that to Zep)

You are actually female right? If not, if you are a male you seriously did not just post an opinion on whether society has become more pussified by stating “My daddy…whatever”.
Look at me…I am shaving just like daddy.

She’s a girl.
I don’t see the problem with using your father as an example of how men should behave. And no where did she type “daddy”.
Your argument that society is pussified because of how long they take to get ready for the day is ridiculous. Please leave.
Lets get one thing straight first.
As a man, you’re life is disposable. You’re supposed to do all the emotional suffering and backbreaking labor so the people who make and take care of the babies don’t have to. There’s a reason why the policy on a sinking ship is women and children first. you’re disposable. Get used to it.
If you want to work all day so somebody else can spend your money, or die to protect them, go for it. But right now for this brief window in time I have the opportunity to take it easy. And I am all over it like white on rice.
The responsibilities and hardships associated with manhood are bullshit IMO. No amount of sandwiches and blowjobs are worth dying for. And that’s assuming you have a woman that’s actually willing to compensate you for your services as a man. Most women won’t even do that.
Now that that’s out of the way. You need to recognize that there’s more than one type of masculinity and understanding the effect of testosterone on the brain.
When the fetus is developing every starts out thinking on the left side of their brain. As the fetus is exposed to testosterone, the growth of the left side is stunted so the brain moves all the wiring over to the right side to compensate. (and with enough T, the right side can become dominant, causing left handedness.)
The right side of the brain is associated with empathy, creativity, and artistic talent.
So creativity and Artistic/Musical talent are extremely masculine qualities.

You are completely focusing on the wrong things. How long it takes you to groom yourself is not really the main or even an important difference between real males and pussies. The male qualities that have remained valuable throughout human civilisation and in different cultures are pretty simple:
The ability to create, sustain and protect a family and as we are social animals, also the ability to lead, to innovate, protect the weak, be a creative force among our peers, be respected etc etc. The worrying trend is that many males are losing the ability to do a lot of these things… not that people are using facebook and want to look good.

Is this how a ‘real man’ responds to a pretty benign post?
I think you’d better take a shower with Massengill, bud, because you just wreak of pussy.

i don’t see why this turns into a discussion against feminity as if it’s the scourge of society.
western society is still patriarchal. the fact that men are choosing to act less masculine, supposedly in response to the kind of defunct women’s movement, is not something i will take the blame for. let’s face it. women are also behaving in confusing ways trying to express an illusive ideal. universal desirability? yuh, right.
and gay men running everything or whatever the alarm is about what their influence is on society…they’re still men. they have always been the arbiters of style and ambition back even before max factor. it was more underground but so was everything else.
i was raised in a pretty matriarchal construct in my home life. for some reason in everyday life it translates to others perceiving me as a very strange female. they don’t know how to relate to me at all. i was told recently that when i walk into a room it is “with such purpose”. this was at work. W-O-R-K. it was an observation by a male. i suppose it was meant to make me feel self-conscious. okay. i walk like that everywhere. whatever.
i shook a guy’s hand after he introduced himself in a laundryroom. afterward i just knew that my handshake was way too firm. i wasn’t trying to be the crusher. it was casual but i thought, oh, you’ve left that strong impression again.
i won’t speak to what goes on with everyone else but as far as “feminine” behaviors or personality traits running things, i will say men in the workplace gossip and spread rumors and expect attention based on what they look like and women still try to get their attention. if you were to talk to them about that they would let you know how macho they are. because i don’t ascribe behaviors to gender i note it more than others do. people in general overlook those things in order to stick to preconceived notions.
what’s sad is that no matter who you are it really stands out if you do what you want, mean what you say and make an effort. oh well. eventually you get used to it and everyone else gets used to you and the way you live your life. or they don’t and life goes on anyway.
There’s so many things wrong with these statements (to me at least) that I won’t even start to point them out
Not sure if this has been mentioned yet but I have just recently started watching ‘Mad Men’. From the very first episode I was in awe with the unabashed masculinity that the show exudes. Men were men they didn’t censor them selves in order to spare someones feelings, yes they were Gentlemen but they said what needed to be said in appropriate situations. In the advent of email and the interweb, there is now a Passive Aggresive tone to society that is in my opinion cowardly.
Yes, that show reflects a time when It was god damned sweet to be a white man and lord help you if you were anything but. Yet, it has a nostalgia of masculinity and confidence that is gone in today’s society. It is now taboo to speak your mind and reflect what you honestly feel. You have to tip toe around the point and deliver said point with as little punch as possible.
Obama had to back track and apologize about his “the police officer acted stupidly” remark. Yeah he should have kept it to himself but fuck it, that’s how he felt about the situation. When they later asked him about it instead of retracting his statement, he should grabbed his crotch and spit, then said, “Yeah that’s what the fuck I said. Get over it” But alas there is just not enough testosterone left in the world for something like that to happen.
RIP: Testosterone

Yeah the show is very much devoid of black folk but, It is realistically representing early 1960’s corporate society. It still has great story lines and back in those days “Sexual Harassment” was no where in the Vocab. So if you wanted to get drunk and fuck your secretary in your office it was cool.
EDIT
On there chests?? Dude I expected much more from you. Chin and up, are the only acceptable locations, or you get a do over.

I’m sure its a good show. But I’m not interested in the 1950’s or 1960’s suburbia.
I’'ll switch methods then. 2 to the chest, one to face.

I attend classes at a community college with a lot of high school kids. Judging by the way they dress, very few of the boys have anything approaching normal masculine sensibilities. The geeks are closer to masculine than most of them. At leas they don’t go out of their way to look feminine.

Nope.
Let people become the fattest, stupidest, most socially awkward bunch of decadent miscreants the world has ever seen.
Then when they are completely useless and helpless people of actual value or skill can take them for everything they have and they won’t be able to lift a finger to stop you.

What you call “psychotic”, I call “Genius”.
This idea is what the whole book “Atlas Shrugged” by Ayn Rand is about. It’s heavy reading (1000+ pages and not a childish vocabulary), but pretty interesting. It focuses on how society starts relying only on those who can produce, which punishing them at the same time.
Ayn Rand was a trash novelist who’s characters used flowery 20$ words in a thinly disguised attempt at nobility. “The good is the enemy of the Best” What a load of crap. She had her “Fountainhead” Up her ASS! look what happens when you follow this crap-Mike Mentzer anyone
