Harvey Weinstein is a Scumbag, and Everyone Knew It

That Kevin Spacey one was just incredibly fast. Seems like within a span of 48 hours that dudes whole career just disintegrated.

I can somewhat understand the negativity and outrage directed toward him though. A good friend of mine had a terrible time with friends and family when he came out (right at about the time that the Catholic scandal was happening) and had to defend and explain like hell that gay does not equate to pedophile.

Then there goes Spacey.

Apparently, Spacey was sexually abused by his father (along with his other brother and I think sister). I kinda feel bad for him (I don’t feel bad, but I think he’s being fucked over because of this self-indulging don’t forget about me #metoo BS). I think his “assault” has been blown out of proportion. His career is now over based on a story from 30 years ago where he laid on top of a 14-year-old… Seems a lil odd to me.

Seems odd when you consider the likes of Roman Polanski and others being lionized despite completely reprehensible behavior and Hollywood never even batting an eye and any of them. But otherwise I’m happy to get him out of the way

Because the child that Polanski raped and sodomized was not a celebrity.

Yeah, my initial reaction was the same, but several others have come out since.

Oh, really? I hadn’t seen that.

Yeah, didn’t really dive into it because it turns my stomach, but just Googled and here’s the latest:

Since Oct. 29, Kevin Spacey has been accused by more than a dozen men who say he sexually harassed, groped, assaulted or attempted to rape them in episodes going back decades. The fallout has been swift for the actor, with Netflix dumping him from his starring role on House of Cards.

Funny how all of the sudden this 30 year old story surfaces right as this is disclosed:

It conveniently put an end to that show…

Not good enough. He needs to be convicted in a court of law, after hiring the best lawyers on the face of the planet.

Once convicted, it’s public hanging time.

He’s a pedo, if this is all true, we need to prove it. That he tried to lowkey blame it on being gay means we should tack a “hate crime” label on it, and literally hang him publicly.

Most abusers were. This is a common theme. Many, many many abused people do NOT return the favor.

I have zero sympathy for someone that abuses kids.

There is zero excuse for acting on that behavior. Being massively fucked up from it? Sure. Be a drug addict, drunk, get tossed in jail for bar fights, shit even kill adults. But raping little kids? Fuck everyone one of them and the train they rode in on, whether they were raped or not.

Plenty of people were raped as kids, and they don’t turn around and do it to others.

The Spacey thing sucked. I liked his movies over all. He was a good actor. He was great in ‘American Beauty’. But if he’s a pedo, fuck him.

It’s funny how little attention that got. Not funny ‘ha ha’ just curious. It was out and swept away quickly. And a young lady is damaged for life because he wanted an ‘authentic looking’ scene. Well he got it. It cost precisely one human life.

I too reject intoxication as an out. Lots of people get intoxicated all the time, at worst they tell an inappropriate joke, or they are too loud or something. You don’t feel up someone and try to screw them without a moment of clarity creeping in at some point.

Me too. I’ve gotten fucking wasted for days- like multiple eight-balls, steady diet of pills and booze in a continuous stream of intoxication- wasted, and inappropriate sex type shit never happened.

It has to be in there and part of you to happen. The only thing a lapse in judgement means to me is that you acted on a primary urge that your usual inhibitions would have suppressed. That goes for wife beating and any other outlandish shit people blame getting fucked up for.

edit to add- I’ve also been approached by plenty of gay guys in bars and whatnot, with them ranging anywhere from having a few and being tipsy to obviously in a black-out. The thing is, their advances, while pesky and occasionally ridiculously generous, weren’t straight up predatory. A standard “No thanks, not into guys” pretty much solves them.

Other women have come out about him abusing them. One said she was 10 years old at the time. I don’t think someone who did what he did in the case we are familiar with, and which no one denies happened, does that as a one time “indiscretion.”

I guess she doesn’t matter because he’s a big star producer! I haven’t heard that but I don’t doubt it.

Damn! You must be rich!

Nah, just good with numbers.
