You give toughness a whole new meaning.
No awards for strokes here.
Be extra careful in that heat/humidity. At least where I live the heat stops at 97.

Yes, that is SO logical. ![]()
That’s some solid weight. I be moderately jealous.
Solid work despite the tough work schedule GV. Hope all is well.
Thanks Dave I am just trying my best to retain what I’ve built. Biker and OG, the harshness of it all makes me want to fight more. Canada- I have a lot of work to do to get my weight and numbers back up.
Lifted yesterday and it was a bit underwhelming most likely due to me being fatigued from the extreme heat and many hours of physical work I am doing.

My weight has dropped to 205 due to the excessive cardio I’m getting in the sun corralling carts at Costco. I’m told they will move me back inside and advance me in the rotation eventually. I had no problem maintaining weight and strength when I worked inside even though I had the lawn business(still do). Once I can get back inside I will be able to get my training and power back in order.
Standing Crunches:
70 lbs x 20
Nice work. “The Hardest Working Man in Powerlifting.”
Thanks Crippler now I have to find a way to beat the sun.
Keep using your good sense in that heat.
Good advice Biker. Yesterday I got some lifting in.

40 minutes lift time then off to 7 hours of cardio work. The conditioning is good work.
That’s bunch of work in 40 minutes. It looks like you got some cardio in there as well.
Thanks Crippler, it seems I can’t get away from the excessive cardio.
On another note I woke up yesterday morning with a swollen, puffy right eye. I had no pain but a little itching and irritation. I shrugged it off as being a bug bite in my sleep or something that would just go away but this morning I woke up to the swelling being still there with additional puffiness in my left eye. So, today I went to the Doctor and he prescribed a corticosteroid and antibiotic. It seems I have an infection of some sort in my eyes most likely from debris staying in my eyes following lawn work. The result is I am forced to take a couple of days off lifting but I will be back soon.
You’ll probably have to force yourself to rest.
Rest up those gorilla eyes.
Biker- it’s very hard to suddenly slow down and the meds are not fun.
Crippler, being forced to rest, not my best suit.
Hope they get better soon!
Thanks ChickenLittle.
bummer, GV… I’m sure it will clear up fast brother…
Good time for a de-load, eh?
I’ve been thinking of you during training in the past week as we’ve had some very hot weather here. Boy, the heat really compounds the lifting challenge for me!
OG, thanks I am resting up and I’m on a reload, no lift schedule until I’m done with my meds on Tuesday.
Snap, the heat is a factor of intense proportion and an that will make you tougher.
I’ve been reading T-nation a long time but only recently started posting myself. I started weight lifting as cross-training for martial arts, of which I’ve started several, but as I’ve aged I bounce back slower and slower from injuries so now I’m focused on lifting and swimming, rotating walking, yoga, martial arts, and body weight exercises at home for off days or days I’m out of town.
Thanks to T-nation, I’m stronger now in my forties than I was when I was young and didn’t know what I was doing, my total for bench, squat, and dead lift are only 12 pounds shy of 1000, but damn these love handles!
