Do you have a special powerlifting bar? I think 725 would permanently bend all of the bars I own. Strong work.
725 walk out? What the hell does that feel (and look) like? I’m very impressed!
Just saw that 725 myself. Respect.
Thanks OG, I’m pushing for an excellent meet.
NHLFTR, thanks I just have a standard olympic bar and it is slightly bent. I’m hoping using my crappy equipment pays off in easier lifting with the great bars at the meet. When I use the meet equipment it’s like a special holiday of nice lifting circumstances. My bars are bent and my garage floor is slanted so that when I am doing squats it’s like also doing a very slight calf raise, on deads my toes are slightly at a higher level than my heels, and I suppose all benching is like a very slightly elevated incline bench.
Crippler-I wish I had video of the that 725 walk out and 1/4 squat but I can describe it. Walking the 725 out was kind of scary and I was trembling a bit. I felt like I was moving though quickly hardening cement and until today my calves have been sore from the walk and set up to squat. I’m sure the squats were ugly and I was straining everything from my toes to my nose, so lots of fun.
Thanks hel320, the journey continues. I’ve even had the notion of doing some mid-600 1/2 squats soon but I have to consider setting up to recover from such an effort and planning so it doesn’t interfere with my work.
Lifting went well tonight.

You know when you feel kind of light headed from heavy lifting, that’s what I feel now. My body is devastated in a good way.
I’m trembling a bit also. And I see the 565 box sq…answers that question too.
Rock On.
Nice box squats and good mornings. Have fun trying to walk now. ![]()
denver_z_man, I really kicked my own ass that night so I took several grams of tumeric, did a bunch of therapy, and hobbled around a bit. After my compressed organs re-inflated I was able to be semi-viable for regular activities.
Crippler-Walking along with normal things like sitting down have been an adventure the past few days.
Been doing tons of overhead tree trimming with an extended pole saw the past two days and my shoulders have been taking a beating. Tonight the lifting was okay.

Yeah, definitely lackluster:smirk:
At least I got a smirk out of it, thanks Harry.

Felt like I may have another 5 lbs and/or room to grow on the bench. Tonight was intense and strong.
Worked my ass off today and got home late this afternoon which pushed my lifted time later. Lots of climbing ladders and overhead 30 foot tall palm trimming today. I was a bit worn out so I lifted.
ME Squats:(Raw)
135 x 10
225 x 5
315 x 1
405 x 1
495 x 1(belt)(My legs felt worn out so this was all for tonight, however…)

405 x 1
550 lbs x 1(felt strong and I know I have more in me when I’m a bit fresher)
Standing Crunches:
70 lbs x 20
Squats were off tonight most likely from work today but I was pleased to hit the 550 lbs dead. I had a difficult time deciding whether to rest tonight or lift but I have plans tomorrow night so my options were limited and just had to make the best of time. Training bumps can be humbling.
A 550 deadlift ranks up there with those 700+ 1/2 squats.
Very nice pull young man!
Thanks biker and OG. I’m paying for the efforts last night today. Did a bunch of tree trimming again today which added to my overall feeling of body ache and general fatigue. Decided to take today and tomorrow off from lifting so I can recover properly. Therapy will begin a moment after I finish this.
550 is strong any day. Even more impressive after physical labor all day and squatting.
Thanks Dave. That last lifting is still kicking my butt. Hopefully tomorrow I will be rejuvenated enough to lift.
So I have been killing myself with tons of work the past couple days and had been unable to lift due mostly to extreme exhaustion with accompanying muscle cramps, spasms, and a bit of dehydration. Temps are running in the mid to upper 80s here and I’ve been busting my ass on top of some heavy lifting. Got back to lifting tonight but I was not fully recovered from work yesterday.
DE Bench:
135 x 10
185 x 5
217 x 9(alternating grips/1 min btwn sets)
SlingShot Bench:
275 x 1
310 x 1(this felt heavy tonight which was unusual so I called it a stop)
CG Bench Press:
195 x 6 sets x 10 reps
Bent-over Rows:
135 x 6
250 lbs x 3 x 6
Hammer Curls:
35 lbs dumbells x 3 x 12
Standing Crunches:
70 lbs x 20
Body fatigue is high and I am going to work tomorrow. About a month left to train for the upcoming meet so I am working on getting my act together.
So all of the sudden it’s about 90 degrees here. Summer is here and winter hasn’t even ended therefore I’m getting my sweat on. Work was a bitch today, my body aches all over, arthritis is going crazy with the atmospheric pressure changes, and my 3 year old kept me up till 2 AM this morning so I lifted tonight.
DE Squats:(1 min btwn sets)
135 x 10
225 x 5
320 x 9 sets x 3 reps
Good Mornings:
135 x 6
225 x 3
315 x 3
405 lbs x 3(May be a PR for reps)
SLDL(from pins starting at 3 inches below knees):
135 x 5
225 x 3
315 x 1
405 x 1(thought I would do more but the GMs must of wore me out cuz I waz tuckered)
Hanging Knee Raises(No straps, just hands):
1 x 25
Feel like I might have a little more in me for the GMs and dead hanging from the bar doing the knee raises for over a minute worked my grip and stretched me out a bit while giving my mid-section good work.
