Hard Work

Ha ha, Dday, that’s great!

Ah Nurse, I feel your pain. The only guy who spoke to me said “How many more sets you got? I want to do power cleans.” Is that hardcore or what? (He’s good at them, too.)

James, thanks.

Up, I may be having some ice cream every few weeks if I gives me that kind of reaction. No more often - I did that many years ago and it turned me into a soggy lump.

Belated happy birthday. Glad you got some on your birthday. Ice cream, that is. Reading through your log brought back memories. Yes, the old Universal machine. First machine I ever used. Lean into it and you could mil press the whole stack of around 250 with no problem. Great PR by the way.

Cav, congrats on the PR! Looks like your deads are starting to move.

And Happy birthday! Another Gemini…

Thanks, Strick.

Maybe YOU could press the whole stack, but I could barely manage a quarter of any of the stacks, even after several years of struggle. I was a damn puny thing.

Well done on the PR.

Those miserable bastards at your gym eh?. If I’d have been there to witness it I’d have carried you around the gym on my shoulders while singing the Olympics theme “One moment in time” by Whitney Houston and shooting fireworks out of my arse!

Now its time for 315.

Well, Brett, THAT would certainly get attention!!! (Love Whitney Houston, by the way.)

Joe, give me another month or two.

happy birthday and awesome PR
see- glad all that swole went to good use.

You will be happy to know I made some bad television today and Golden coral was our sponsor.

Kick ASS fellow heart thumper!

And Happy Belated Birthday!

Slow and steady.

Rick

Thanks, Rick. Can’t take the ticker for granted.

KM, I’d be happier if I could land a job. You wouldn’t happen to need some post production for the spot, would you?

Are there any Golden Corrals in NY? Matty would love to visit but can’t find one.

This is a job I love- cause its easy.
the product is less good.

do you use Mandy’s list?
or creative hotlist?

both list production post production jobs etc.
I always look at network jobs, everyone
ABC NBC CBS PBS scripps and most cable channels
are required by law to publicly list their offerings
check their respective sites you can search most by state.
PM if you need some follow up with those sites

no golden corals that I know of-
Matty will have to settle for the Brazillian BBQ

Sigh, my last job with FedEx was also easy. Too bad it had to end.

I’ve used Mandy’s but didn’t get anything out of it. LinkedIn, no luck. Everyone’s selling, no one’s buying. Not familiar with creative hotlist.

Looking for a corporate position, tired of constant job hunting.

If it’s any consolation this is the week that i probably find out that my job is ‘at risk’ and that my team is being cut back again–joys of working in the nhs.

Im late to the party. Great job on the deads. And HAPPY B DAY!!!

Damn, what a hardcore gym. I’m shouting “YES! YES! YES!” and no one pays attention. What does it take to get a little applause?

You could have pulled down your pants…( IM JOKING!!!)

But again I am happy for you over your PR .

CAV thats awesome about the PR you are so close to pulling 6 plates. The hunt is on. You gotta feel stoked.

Nurse, don’t tell me you’re going to be a victim of their “austerity” program. We don’t have a NHS over here, but things aren’t fun. (I’m told healthcare is projected to increase jobs here, though.)

Dog, thanks for the delightful pic. Yes, pulling pants would certainly get attention, just not the type I’m looking for.

Dude, thanks. To be exact, we don’t have a DL yoke, so I load the bar to 135 on the power rack, lower to floor, then add on 35’s. I don’t like to wrestle the bar to load more 45’s. So 315 would be bar plus 2 45’s, plus 4 35’s, plus 4 10’s, if that makes sense.

The important thing is getting STRONGER . . . my lifelong dream.

Something like that–the hospital has to lose £17m off the staff budget alone this year.

Oh and did i mention that the Uk government is giving away some £13 bn in foreign aid–big chunk of it being given to another 'nuclear ’ state while our Nhs, armed forces and police are all being hit.

Something like that–the hospital has to lose Ã?£17m off the staff budget alone this year.

Which means, of course, everyone at your hospital will start working overtime and sucking up to the bosses to prove HIS job is indispensable. Sigh.

Think your government’s weird? Ours is spending trillions on 2 or 3 wars (I lost count), but they’re trying to cut unemployment benefits, teachers, police, medical care, etc, because “we can’t afford them”. Great fun for someone out of work.

Cav- Once you get 45’s on the bar, just slide a 5lb plate under the 45 so its on top of the 5lb plate. it will hold it and lift enough that you can slide on more 45’s if you so desire. Just a thought. Keep at it, there is nuggets in those hills!!
