Last Hulk movie = the Ed Norton Hulk flick, or the one with Eric Bana? I still have not seen the latest one…
X,
Watch City of God. My favorite film. Really fucking intense movie with an awesome soundtrack. I want to know what you think.

Ed Norton. The older one isn’t even in the same ball park. I respect the Ang Lee Hulk and don’t consider it complete garbage, but they missed the mark.
I liked the explanation in the first movie of why he didn’t die from gamma radiation poisoning where others would (mutation along with nano-technology)…but I guarantee that is where they lost 80% of the audience the first time. Some people I talked to didn’t even get why the starfish was being used in the opening credits for the Ang Lee version.
I am positive that is why they cut out so much from this newer version. People today have real short attention spans and even less of a grasp on anything more complex than gunfire and explosions.
I’ll keep a look out for City of God if it appeals to me.
So who is the girl in jtg987’s avatar?
Going to watch City of God tonight. This Hancock movie looks silly to me and the critics gave it a bad rating…although, they told me No Country for Old Men was good…not!
Saw Hancock last night.
Pretty decent movie. Definitely deserves more than 36% at Rotten Tomatoes.

Yes, it is. Not sure how a “Hancock” thread transitions into it, but whatever.
Double post… I always wondered how that happened to people. I still don’t know how, but it’s my first one, yay!

Now you’re one of the cool kids!
I saw City of God and it’s an awesome movie! Very intense. Highly recommend it!
fuck this thread, I get pulled in my pics of titties and then people keep busten out spoiler alerts! Damnit I want to read them now…
I just saw it. I really enjoyed it. It wasn’t great but it was refreshing.
SPOILER
I also really appreciate the twist with Ray’s wife. I read a review on Hancock and it mentioned something about Hancock’s relationship and how it was unnecessary. I was completely expecting a love triangle, which I guess there was, in a way, and I was expecting here to leave Ray.
I was really glad that it was more than that.
after all the titties pics i actually saw this movie last monday, i enjoyed it and dont really understand why people were giving it such a bad rap, was enjoyable I doubt I’d see it again but it was good too see and a fun movie
btw the girl in my current avatar is ewa sonnet for the dude that asked

I agree. It was a good movie and I think some of the flack he took is simply because most critics have their heads up their asses.
I admit part of the reason it may be a little hard to accept is that the character he helped create has no history. It isn’t like he was acting out a character with an established background like IronMan.
They could go in almost any direction for a sequel with a superhero who is immortal, still human, yet loses all of it if he even comes near the woman he is destined to be with.
How could that really suck?
I will say that it is not a movie like some of the others where you want to see it 3 and 4 times in a row to catch what you missed the first time.

I bet we all would see it again if he stayed the some stand offish bum that he was in the beginning. I know I would. That was the best part of the movie.
Old Lady: You stink of alcohol
Hancock: Cause I’ve been drinking bitch!
Classic.

I agree with you. I think he should have stayed the way he was. It was way more interesting and would have lent itself to way more to be done in sequels.
SPOILER ALERT! FUTURE SEQUEL SPOILER ALERT!!
IDIOT, I SAID SPOILER ALRET. DON’T READ MY POSTS!
I can see him becoming a drunk again over time. Especially if Ray and his wife have a kid. If that’s possible. I know I’d hit the bottle if the woman I’m destined to love had another man’s baby.
And there’s probably a missing immortal out there somewhere. Someone they thought died, he’s not dead, is crazy cause he lost his destined love, and wants to make the world suffer. I think I just figured out the “Hancock 2: Hancock Harder” plot.

And with him being an immortal, you have the option of setting the sequel farther in the future.

Maybe he’ll show up in Terminator 4. Those machines would be in trouble!
