My gym recently accquired a “ground-based Jammer” by Hammer Strength. I did one set of approximately 15 reps to failure today as a finisher (after deadlifts, no less). I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the machine, and can suggest a good sets/reps protocol? Thanks!
How are you using this machine? I have seen people using it in a manner that it looked like a partial squat with an ovhead press. However, if you go to the Hammer Strength web site, it is designed to do be used one arm at a time. The motion looks sort of like a standing-twisting incline press. It is hard to explain, go to hammerstrength.com and look up the Jammer, they have a RealVideo clip of proper usage.
Thanks, Scott. I was using it in the squat/press fashion, which seems to involve more muscle groups, and hence would be a better choice as a ‘finisher.’ I’ll check out the Hammer Strength site.
