Quit all those funky sexual positions. Stick to plain old girl on top. If you’re just lying there, you’re less likely to hurt your knee. I know you don’t get the extra calories burned, but you can make up for that in the gym.

Injury Update:

My knee feels better today. I can kinda feel the lack of stability at times and it’s bothersome to squat. I did some abs last night and 22.5 minutes of interval training on the stair mill.

I weighed in at 175lbs this morning. Looking leaner. Seeing a 4 pack. Need the 6 pack soon.

Today is going to be a busy day. Between a massage appointment, a job interview, going to see a woman about my posing suit and training, I’m going to be going like a mad man. I have to get my calories in.

I am training chest/back today and am meeting somebody to train back with. Thus I’ll train my chest and then train with this person for back. Looking forward to it.

Not looking forward to picking out a banana hammock though. The things we put ourselves through. :slight_smile: Like 6am cardio.

Honestly though, you should look at some sort of psych study to see what people will respond to best. There’s all kinds of work done out there on how people judge colors, why not use that to your advantage?

Weekend Update:

I weighed in this morning at 176lbs. Not my 174lb target but I managed to go form 8.6% bodyfat to 7.7% in just 5 days. So I just have to keep plugging to get under 5% for the show.

My workout Friday was rather good. I did some chest on my own, supersetting OVT style with Low Incline DB Bench press with Low Incline DB Flyes. I then switched it up and did some Decline Bench followed by some cable crossovers from the Top down, then from the bottom up.

I trained back with a friend of mine who pushed me. We did some pullups, Bent Over BB Rows, Seated UG EZ Bar Rows and then finally some Close Grip Pulldowns.

Saturday was a bit of a mess for me. I was able to get in my AM cardio for 45 minutes. However no weights. I had a funeral to attend at 11:30am and then a wedding laster that day, which I didn’t get home from until 1am. It’s difficult to go to Open Bar weddings and not drink. :slight_smile: But I survived.

Sunday I got in a very good Leg session.

A.Back Squats supersetted OVT style will Lunges.
B.Hack squats supersetted with Leg Extensions.
C.Single Leg Curls.
D.More Leg Extension Holds supersetted with Leg Posing
E.Seated Calf supersetted with Donkey Raises

My Legs are feeling it today which I am pleased about.

Had my final posing session with my coach this morning.

That went well. It’s less than 4 weeks now and I’m gearing up to go.

174lbs this morning. (Maybe I’ll get under 150lbs before Court) :smiley:

Upped my AM Cardio to 50 minutes. Did 25 minutes of LI on the bike and then 25 minutes of intervals on the Stair Mill this morning. Had a wicked awesome sweat going.

I also practiced my routine a few times last night as well after I trained the girlfriend. I spend a lot of time in gyms.

I kinda cheated last night as well. I had 2 small glasses of champagne to celebrate a promotion I got at work. The ‘wife’ is always on me about how much drive/determination I have for this show but what about my career?

Not that I have had a lacklustre career, just that my focus the past 6-8 months (since she’s known me) hasn’t been on work. That will change after my show.

Oh yeah, I trained Arms last night. Arms on a Monday night felt odd.

D1.French Press
D2. Rope Hammer Curls
D3. Rope Extensions
D4. T-Bar Curl

1st set, all exercises were 15 reps with 65lbs.
2nd set, all exercises were 15 reps with 70lbs. 2nd set was the proper weight. Surprisingly, given my carb depletion I had a decent pump going for the entire session. Arms looked jacked.

Shoulders and Abs today.

The fact that my legs take extra long to rid themselves of DOMS. I feel like Courtney gave the same advice (as above) to my girlfriend…and she followed through.

Fudge!!

At the end of my workout last night I felt a little tickle in my throat and put it off as exhaustion. However as the night wore on I could tell I was fighting something. When my alarm went off at 6am this morning ‘Fudge!’ was the word that painfully came out of my mouth. I’m fighting a cold. My throat is very sore. All I want to do is sleep and eat some chocolate chip cookies. Neither of which I can do today. So I’ve taken 2000mg of Vitamin C and some aspirin and we’re going to see how this goes. It’s going to be a true day off today. No lifting. No cardio.

I have no idea what I weigh today although I suspect it’s a lb or two lighter since I shaved most of the hair off me last night after my epsom salt bath. I have a new respect for you ladies having to do this continually. It’s not for this beast let me tell you. I’m getting the chest and back done tonight. That should be fun.

Last night I trained shoulders. Decent session although I think that’s the last time I’ll do the 2nd Shoulders OVT routine.

My Push Press dropped to 115lbs on the 4th and 5th set and I’m struggling with the 6 second negative with a 40lb barbell on the B grouping. I really need to try and bring my rear delts out a bit more so next shoulder session is going to involve a lot of seated rope to neck, bent over db laterals and possibly some reverse flyes with cables. Maybe book end the workout with that as a tri-set.

I’m really looking forward to trying the Skinny Legs program Thib’s outlined on Monday. Mechanical drop sets are very nice. I used them a lot with some of the stuff I gave Court when she was looking to squat 225lbs.

Anyway, I am at my desk, trying to fight this cold off. Green Tea will be the order of the day. Thankfully I won’t have an issue getting enough fluids. I’m still going to go for 6-7L today. I hit 9L yesterday.

So my sore throat has turned into a sinus cold. I’m at home today trying to rest and recover and find some energy/strength to train. Yesterday was a day off and I’m not sure I’ll be able to take 2 days off in a row (mentally).

Ok, so I have a brand new respect for woman. I had my chest and back waxed last night. Holy mother of Starting Strength! I didn’t scream but I damned near wanted to. I won’t be making that a regular occurrence.

But I am silky smooth now!

So did you actually think you had a lb or two of body hair on you? If so then you’re more of a beast than I thought. That would be so gross hahaha.

I wish I was there to watch the chest/back wax. I would have laughed my ass off. In fact if I see you at the gym today I’ll likely laugh my ass off and poke you in the chest. Cuz I’m actually giggling right now.

172.5lbs this morning.

To say I am miserable is an understatement. I have a wicked head cold, haven’t had carbs in days and don’t feel like I am where I should be.

Trained chest and back last night. Strength wasn’t too bad given the above factors.

Trained chest first with some low incline db bench press, low incline db flyes, hammer strength incline press, smith machine bench press and some cable flyes.

Back consisted of Pullups, Yates Rows, T-Bar rows and Close Grip Pulldowns.

Felt good.

Debating what to do for legs today as I’m afraid a heavy session might tax the CNS too much which won’t be good given by bodies state right now.

However I am having a carb up today. :slight_smile:

There was no way I could train yesterday. The cold became a fever and it got progressively worse as the day and night wore on.

I went through 3 boxes of kleenex and could’ve subbed in for Rudolph, except I’m probably way skinnier than that red-nosed bitch anyway! And I wouldn’t be in the mood to drag around some fat ass all day!

I trained legs today. I TRIED to go through Thib’s latest Skinny Legs routine (The Skinny-Legs Cure)

I made it through the A group but there was no way my cardio or lower back could handle 3 mechanical drop sets of Dead’s. Thus I just supersetted Snatch Grip with RDL’s.

I did three sets of the short and long step lunges supersetted with Lying leg curls, but didn’t use the 2-1 approach Thib’s outlines.

I got through 60 reps of the leg press. My endurance sucked.

I did some extensions and then spent 15 minutes in the sauna before dragging my ass home.

Oh, and I tried to carb up a little yesterday.I lost a pound even though I ate pad thai, a bowl of granola and two ice cream bars. I also looked much leaner. 172lbs this morning.

I’m gonna continue that carb up today. I’ve already had some more pad thai, 4 oatmeal pancakes and 70g of Vitargo. I’ll probably have some pasta, peppers and prime rib tonight.

We’ll see what happens in the AM.

Going to do Arms and Abs tomorrow morning.
