I think once it gets into the hair follicle, it never leaves. I don’t really see how an actual hair could “Shed” something like that. It probably eventually falls out and a new THC free hair replaces it.
I think some drugs are on the outside of the hair and can move up or down somehow. Some drugs can be dated to within a month or so.
I also doubt they would test for drugs that aren’t Schedule I because someone could claim:
-they are prescription, and they would be required to produce a prescription
-that if they test for one prescription drug (test cyp) they would have to test for ALL such schedualed drugs
-and the above point could bring up serious privacy issues[/quote]
Interesting theory as well. Id love to hear someone like Cy chime in…
From my understanding they only test for THC, marijuana and other schedule 1 drugs. I believe the test for steriods and similar drugs is not cost effective for them.
What about bleaching your hair blonde? When I was 14-15 I went on a surfer kick and bleached my hair every 3 weeks to the point it started to fall out. I think that would be strong enough to eliminate any residue.

My buddy had to take a drug test via hair sample for a job. He knew about it and ahead of time didn’t smoke for 2 months, he was a regular Bud Smoker. Coincidentally he was on a cycle the time of his drug test. They took an armpit hair sample. He ended up getting the job.
Main points
2 months to rid your hairs the THC resins. They did the armpit hairs because allegidly the THC stays in those hairs the longest.
Also, he was on a cycle the time of the test. He got the job. Either they don’t test for it or they don’t care about it.
Good Luck!
Most places, most being 99.9% will not test for steroids, unless there is a suspicion. The Amry does not randomly test for steroids, only if a commander ask for it, and I would assume that is the same everywhere. Nor does the fed. gov.
My question though is, wouldnt the remnants of thc stay in the hair until the hair "grows out’ of does it “fade away” with time??
I will definately be searching this the next few days.
I don’t know for sure, but I am now under the assumption that over time if you discontinue drug use it will leave the hair. I assume this because my friend who smoked weed stopped for a few months then was tested. They took a sample of his armpit hair. His armpit hair was never cut, this hair at one time would have been analyzed and showed a positive test. After time the same hair showed a zero amount of the drug. They test hair because it has the longest remnants of the drug. That is why I assume that over time the THC or whatever will leave the hair. So I believe it fades away. What do you think? Sound logical?

NicholasF-I did some research and I think you’re right. Fade away…what was I thinking.
Thanks guys…I guess only time will tell…Hopefully they wont test for it…My whole thing was that how could they find test in hair because test is present in the human body anyway…In blood and urine, i can see because you can test the levels…In hair, i dont think that you can…Im not sure…but thanks to everyone who replied…
