- the race is won by diligence and perseverance. 2. I will never give up! 3. Stop looking at yourself everyday! 4. Going too heavy can cause permanent muscle tears-ouch! 5. Do it for yourself.
- Eat right.
- Customize to what your needs are.
- Do what your body tells you.
- Sleep.
- Wood every morning is good.
- Charge through life, that way things may get in the way but they get a hurt put on for doing it.
- Eat, train, and rest properly for you.
- Do not get stuck in analysis paralysis. No one gets big and lean reading… Studying… no matter what a pill says.
HMB does NOT “feel like Deca”…
I’m a newbie, so some of these may seem a bit simplified but they are my motivation at this point! First, I didn’t get this way over night. It will not come off overniight. There is no such thing as a “quick-fix”. To achieve my goals will take hard work and dedication. Second, Education is the key! I have learned so much since I started lifting. All these myths I have believed all these years have been discarded. Special thanks to people like the ones here who share and help! And lastly, do it for yourself! If you are not doing it for you, then you are not doing it for the right reasons!
More work does not equal better results. Took me a Long Time to get that one.
1)fat does not turn into muscle and muscle does not turn into fat. 2)you can’t spot reduce fat (at least until bill gets the bugs worked out!). 3)low-fat does not mean eat all you want. 4)being fat is a choice. 5)being fat sucks. 6)walking is NOT aerobic exercise. 7)bodybuilding is NOT a hobby…it is a lifestyle. 8)words without action are meaningless. 9)put up or shutup. 10)pull the lead out, yield to the rest of us or get your ass run over. kevo
I was lucky to have MM2K when i first started so i never had to break any bad habits. I guess thats why i have no patience for others who make mistakes. i was never given the opportunity to make that many.
Once you have set a goal, write down an honest plan that will achieve that goal. Write the plan as if you were writing it for someone else - this will take away any rationalizations and delusions. Then learn to love that which you really need, rather than fighting the urge to resort back to that to which you are comfortable. Face it, almost everybody who is a regular visitor to this site knows that the real secret to growth is the basic exercises, and sufficient protein. Rather than bitch about how tough squats and deads are, learn to love them, and strive to accel at them. Look at the WSB guys - the average trainee in that gym is reported to gain 20-40 pounds in their first year. Why? Squats, deads, good mornings, compound upper body exercises, always striving to increase the resistance and a shit load of food. Creative recovery as well I’m sure but I know plenty of naturals who have adopted this system and made spectacular gains.
Want the six pack? Get over the fact that it wont happen on junk food. Learn to love the foods that WILL accomplish the goal.
Won’t squat or deadlift? Prefere the nice cosy comforts of the leg press and the lat pull down? Won’t give up the sugars or the alcohol? Won’t accept that you will get fat, or, at best, won’t get any leaner if you habitually practice gluttony? Then shut the fuck up and learn to live with your life as a sheep.
For me, learning to love what I really need was the biggest 180 I have ever had to pull.
Learning to leave ego at the door and not look at the small weight amounts but keeping proper form and TUT, and not paying attention to what weight others are using.
