You don’t have to be a badass to show some sack. All he could have said was," You guys have a problem? Cool. Wanna do something about it? Cool. I’m going to my car. See ya." Likely, they wouldn’t have done SHIT. And if they had, well, it’s reall easy to separate two guys in a parking lot full of cars. It’s not like he was in a corner.
“If a warrior is not unattached to life and death, he will be of no use whatsoever. the saying that “all abilities come from one mind” sounds as though it has to do with sentient matters, but is in fact a matter of being unattached to life and death. with such non-attachment one can accomplish any feat. martial arts and the like are related to this insofar as they can lead the way.”

Wow…Yea, to be honest with you, people do that shit to me all the time. Thats why I flat out refuse to go to bars or clubs, as the “little guys” always want to challenge someone bigger to improve their own faltering ego. Good move not fighting man. It isn’t worth the possible legal ramifications if something happened.
Your profile says you’re 6 foot tall, 208 pounds.
What bars are you going to where you’re the “big guy?” Oompa Loompa taverns?

The OP should have hopped on a plane to Okinawa (Okinawa, honor veeeedy serious!), gotten some skills, came back forty years later, and chopped a tree in half. Then he and these guys could all be friends.

“Big guy” just doesn’t mean what it used to anymore, I guess. Maybe he lives on a midget reservation.
I think in a general sense, real men handle thier own situations.
If he dicided to talk it out with these guys by saying “Hey, I don’t know what the problem is. Did I piss you off? I mean why the fuck are you following me out to my car? If you’re so tough, why do you need to double-team me?”
Just deal with the problem. That doesn’t mean taking a swing at them, a baseball bat or flattening thier car’s tires. It doesn’t mean being a cocky dick either.
It means handling yourself like a man. You CAN avoid an ass beating and still retain your dignity. But not the way the OP handled it.

People just dont get it. Its not “Right! Who’s looking at me sideways - gonna tear them a new ass”, its about not being intimidated. A punk is more likely to want to fight someone who looks like they’ll lose rather than someone who looks like they can look after themselves.
You dont have to walk around flexing your biceps 2 inches from everyones face (unless they ask of course) but just walking with your head up and acting as if theres no one else around is sufficient.
And isnt calling for backup the same as saying that your ready for a fight anyway? Getting on wid yo bidness says “hmm, tough or not? cant tell. better back off for a bit”. Getting backup says “ah bitach, you cant fight so you need a friend”. ’
Not that the person IS a biatch, but thats how one would be portrayed. Better to walk tall and have people THINK you can handle yourself than cry for moms and get picked on the rest of your life.
They want some one that will lose or better yet some one that is afraid
