I’ve been to Virgin Active in Clapham Common and one of the central London ones, can’t remember which. They were horrible, but I can imagine the other ones being better. I’m guessing the membership is still pretty pricy, though? I think it was something like £80 per month when I checked it 2 years ago! By comparison Jubilee Hall is £35 (student membership + paid a year in advance).
