Gym Bag / Backpack Recommendation

Hey guys,

Going to be riding bike to and from gym. Looking for a backpack that doubles as gym bag. Big enough to hold gear: belt, shoes, bands, plazma, water bottles, etc. I’m a bigger guy, 6’ 230lbs, so these little backpacks don’t work well. Anyone have a good recommendation? Something that will fit all the stuff and be comfortable to use on a ride? thanks

I am a big fan of plastic bags from the grocery store. They are cheap, and readily available. You can even double bag them for extra strength.

not sure about bike riding but the toughest and most comfortable for walking day pack I’ve found is Mountainsmith. Campmor and others online usually have them.

Plenty of room for your stuff, looks good and you can use it for a B.O.B. when SHTF.

StrengthDawgs bag looks sick… Im curious if the plastic bag poster was serious cause it cracked me up.

I second something like this. I got a free military grade backpack as a souvenir when interning at the army. At first I used it as a normal gym bag but I slowly added some stuffs over time like first aid kits, knives, a raincoat etc and it became my EDC bag. Very tough and was comfortable to use while walking, not sure about cycling though.

The next one I buy will likely be a Samsonite backpack…I’d imagine they’d be strong.

No, I was not serious.

This is what I use, and I have zero complaints. Strong, fits well(I’m 6’3" also), several compartments(good for chalk bags so it doesn’t get onto everything else)

What brand is it?

Swiss Gear. I got it at academy a little over a year ago pretty cheap and you could say it sees a fair amount of abuse and have had no issues. Target carries the brand as well. Not sure if the exact one though.

Anyways, yeah it’s Swiss Gear

I get it now! Dumb and Dumber!

How about the Adidas Striker Backpack. This backpack is favored by motorcyclists because it has huge space when you need it but it’s very light when empty. We’re talking about three cavernous compartments.
