Guy at the Store Told Me... True or False

So I went to supplement store and the guy told me to get the Whey 81 Sensations said it was better than the EAS (claimed this was their lowest quality protien).

Its awful, 6.6lb tub was $69.99 (CDN) which i thought was reasonable, it doesnt mix and has no falvor…taste like sand (mixing it in a shaker) he also told me:

  1. That isolate digests in 45min while normal digests in 2h40 min T/F
  2. That its 81% quality of protien (Wasnt sure what htis meant) and that you can get 97% for about $180 T/F
  3. Grocery store/bulk protien you only digest about 50% of it T/F
  4. You can have protein 3-4 months after it expires (T/F)
  5. This game isnt as good as i thoguht it would be T/F

Anyone had experience with this protien? Am i mixing it wrong, is does my batch suck?

I’ve had a few of those, they are fine, I think you are just being a big baby. I get the ones from Costco now, we live in the same area.

2kg for $29.99 you cannot beat that price anywhere around Ontario.

He’s a salesman, what do you expect? He doesn’t get paid to tell you to go buy your protein from Costco. Use your head.

Step 1: Buy good quality stuff online for reasonable price

Step 2: Drink that shit

Step 3: Love it, and have no reason to make a thread about it.

/thread.

ive never liked protein shakes. but i would suggest lookin into the protein cookies being discussed here
Dr. Lowery’s “Utility” Lab Rabbit Cookies
Ingredients (makes 4 cookies)

1.0 Cups Old-Fashioned Oatmeal [raw]
4 heaping Tbsp. Omega-3 Peanut Butter
2 Scoops Low-Carb Metabolic Drive, chocolate
1/4 Cup Water or Skim Milk to allow for mixing

And Lowery provided the nutrient breakdown per cookie:

kcal: 212
Pro: 13g
Carb: 18g (3g fiber)
Fat: 11g

Try not to eat the whole batch in one sitting, unless you’re a little skinny bastard. Keep leftovers in the fridge.

Here’s my own version that’s pretty damn good. It’s fairly close to the original, but with a few “Emeril-esque” refinements:

Chris’s “Gourmet” Lab Rabbit Cookies
Ingredients

1.5 Cups Old-Fashioned Oatmeal [toasted or raw]
3/4 Cup Natural Peanut Butter or Almond Butter
2-3 Scoops Low-Carb Metabolic Drive, chocolate
1 Cup Organic, Unsweetened Coconut Flakes
Just enough water to allow easy mixing

Directions

Toss the oatmeal into a bowl. Toss the protein powder and coconut on top of it. Add peanut butter and just a little warm water and mash it all together with your grubby paws. Form into cookies (or even just balls) then roll them in a plate of extra coconut flakes if you’d like.

lol… guys at supplement stores often get paid commission based on products, and this varies all the time.

For example, headquarters might get a promotional deal with some supplement company where they are getting a product really cheap (and make a huge amount of profit on it each time the store sells it) so they pay their store clerks a couple bucks each time they sell a tub of it.

Or, they could just be overstocked on a product and want to clear it out so they pay their clerks commission to push it.

In short, you “got got” and probably made the register guy 2-4$ from buying that tub!

Blend it, throw some bananas/PB/Honey in there. You can dress it up and get it down and buy better shit next time.

Just buy some cocoa, add a scoop to the protein, taste and antioxidants FTW

I hate that Whey sensation stuff, I did the same about a year ago and bought a bucket of the shit. I ended up making cookies and pudding and all kinds of awful stuff just to get rid of it. 6lbs of Allmax whey isolate, chocolate chip flavor is 90$ at Popeyes, but it taste great and mixes well in a shaker. Expensive yes, but worth it.
