Beans i wish i would have seen this a couple days ago, PSA had the Bushnell with the AR height riser for 60 bucks shipped. I just checked for you, but theyre out of stock on them right now.

I have the Bushnell and have had no problems with it, but i just scored a good deal on a EOTech XPS2 a couple days ago and im looking forward to getting it sighted in and getting some rounds downrange.
Found it 49.99 with high mount included, free shipping for $50+, so I got two, lol. One for the AR and one for the MINI14.
Wow great deal.
I have never seen them that low smart move getting 2.

only issue is I haven’t heard of the this webpage selling before. Tiger Outfitters… And I can’t tell if is it’s a knockoff or not, but I called, and the rep got my order out the same day… So, same shipping as midway, half the price and free shipping. Unless it is a knock off, I’m dancing on air right now. $40 for two quick detach mounts and I’m golden over here if it is as good as the reviews I’ve read.

It should be legit, ive seen them for 50 shipped from a place or two around Christmas. Its a nice little sight, especially for a budget build.

Spent last week at Dallas safari club. Now in Las Vegas for shot show. Wondering what the next wild thing will be. Last year side by side .45 pistol and Chiapa 3 barrel shotgun. This year? The short barrel rifle/pistol and ATF uncertainty. They have a booth every year. I plan to spend some time picking their “brains”. Usually they will come out for a drink ( on their dime or maybe the taxpayers).

I was reading an article on this yesterday. I mostly understand the jist of the article i read, and the arm brace deal becoming illegal now.

My question is, what defines a SBR or short barreled rifle, as it pertains to the AR platform? Ive seen people with the pistol buffers and no stock, and barrels as short as 7.5-9" with and without buttstocks on them. Can somebody enlighten me as to the laws on this? I understand you have to have paperwork approved, but what gives the right to have this approved/denied?

If this is easily googled just tell me, ive read a little on it but still confused.

If the firearm is built in a way that it constitutes a pistol, you don’t need the tax stamp. If it is built in a way that makes it a SBR, you need a tax stamp, which in MA requires a sign off by local Chief LEO. (Not sure if other states are the same.)

My understanding was that the brace made what otherwise would require stamps (SBR’s) pistols, due to the function of the brace. And the ATF said that because you can shoulder the brace, it isn’t a pistol (go ahead and shoulder your Glock) and therefore you need a stamp. The brace was a short $ way around the hassle of a stamp.

Now in MA, it is damn near impossible to build an AR pistol due to having to come in under 50oz, so this is all irrelevant to me. I’d need a stamp, which is damn near impossible to get in my town.

If I’m wrong and a moron on this, someone correct me please.

According to the ATF letter that came out a couple days ago, the arm brace is still legal. Shouldering it, is not.

Really illustrates how inane the gun laws are. Hold an AR pistol with an arm brace out in front of you and everything is fine. Pull it back to your shoulder and it becomes an SBR.

CHICAGO?Touting the program?s convenience and affordability, Chicago officials unveiled Monday the city?s new gun-sharing service, ?QuikShot,? which allows individuals to check out a loaded firearm for short periods of time.

The municipal initiative, through which users can rent semiautomatic pistols, shotguns, rifles, and submachine guns at more than 250 self-service kiosks, has reportedly been designed to make firepower easily available to residents and tourists alike nearly everywhere within the city limits.

?QuikShot lets anyone with a credit card walk up to one of our street-side firearm stations, select a gun, and head out into the Windy City fully armed in just a few seconds,? program director Arvind Reynolds told reporters, noting that borrowers can either rent their weapon for increments of 30 minutes or withdraw it for a full 24 hours if they plan on using it throughout the day. ?With QuikShot, you and your friends can each take a Beretta up to Wrigley Field, or you can head to an outdoor concert in Millennium Park with a concealed 9mm revolver, or you can simply take in the great view of the Magnificent Mile from the roof deck of the Hancock tower through a scoped sniper rifle. The possibilities are truly endless with QuikShot.?

?And if the guns at one station are all checked out, users only have to walk a block or two to the next one in order to find a loaded firearm,? he added. ?So whether you?ve been planning an outing for a while or simply decided to head out in the spur of the moment, QuikShot has you covered.?

According to sources, after paying a small registration fee, QuikShot users may rent a firearm as often as they wish in neighborhoods ranging from Edgewater in the north, to the downtown Loop business district, to Hyde Park on the South Side, allowing them to brandish and discharge one or more rounds wherever they choose to in the city. Additionally, due to higher demand, Chicago officials said that multiple QuikShot kiosks would be opened around highly trafficked destinations, such as Navy Pier, the Art Institute, the Water Tower Place shopping center, and the Chicago Lakefront running and cycling paths.

Because the firearms are expected to see heavy use, Reynolds confirmed that repair crews would regularly monitor the city?s reholstering docks in order to clean and reload the weapons, as well as to replace guns that have jammed or misfired during operation, ensuring that borrowers aren?t inconvenienced by their gun malfunctioning at a crucial moment.

Users, however, are reportedly expected to provide their own protective Kevlar body armor, with program administrators adding that the city of Chicago is not liable for any injuries incurred due to use of its rentals.

?It?s a great addition to the city?nothing beats being able to run out of my apartment and have a gun in my hands whenever I want,? said Lincoln Park resident Keith Madsen, 32, noting that a QuikShot membership is much more economical than purchasing and maintaining his own extended magazine AR-15 assault rifle. ?Even if I?m not necessarily planning on firing a gun on any given day, it?s always nice to know that I have the option if something comes up.?

Sources confirmed that the city is planning to expand the service in the months ahead by purchasing more guns, with the goal of increasing its publicly available arsenal to more than 65,000 weapons in anticipation of the hot summer months, when QuikShot usage is expected to reach its peak.

?QuikShot is so easy that I?m actually shooting a handgun way more often than I normally would,? said local resident Danny Taylor, who participated in a pilot trial of the program, as he deposited an empty .357 Magnum with the QuikShot logo imprinted on its grip at a Rogers Park reholstering station. ?Whether I?m going to a house party or just to the liquor store, it?s nice to know that I can grab a piece, use it for as long as I want, and then drop it off without a lot of fuss.?

?In fact, I?m thinking about checking out one tomorrow morning before I head into the office,? he continued

CZ has brought back the scorpion pistol. No more he mp5’s. Looks like a great gun

Tactical Tim is all over this show

thanks for clarifying a little gents, i’m toying with the idea of doing away with my heavy 16" barrel and going lightweight 14.5 with a 1.5" comp to make it legal without having to fool with a stamp.

Just picked up my AR with the new BCM KeyMod 13" rail installed and it looks wicked, and feels light and balanced in hand. Put in the BCM charging handle with it, and look to get the matching bolt carrier group when funds allow. Looking forward to some range time with it next week, havent gotten to shoot it with the EOTech yet.

Worthless without pics i know, i just created a Flickr account so im working on getting something uploaded.

At first I was like WTF? Then I saw that everyone in the audience appeared to be Japanese, so I guess it all made sense.

I think it was a boat load of money and chicks. Like Bill Murray in Lost in Translation. He is taking a ton of grief for it, some in good fun, some not.

Finished a 10.5 inch pistol build recently. Ordered a bunch of hexmags and troy battle mags for the first time. Took it out this weekend and ran 1,000 rounds through her. Ate it all flawlessly. I am pleased. I also only shot this gun as intended with my arms through the brace for any ATF fuckers.

Had a weekend of fun down on the compound in MS. Took most of my rifles out and chewed through some ammo.

Good buddy of mine checking out the wares.
