Bench and DL today with some rows. Moving through quick because the gym closes in an hour and a bit.
Bench 2x11 @ 100kg
Gain train chugs on with bench. High frequency doing well. OHP and DB incline as assistance.
Easy doubles with two biscuits for a volume PR and filmed a set: 100kg moving well today and better than ever before I think. Pauses a bit short this set but I’m confident pausing long with 100 now.
Sumo Deadlift 220kg x 2 PR, 4x3 @ 200kg
Deadlifts moving slow today but managed to work up to what was technically PR set of 220kg x 2 today but I think this bar is a bit whippy so I’ll just compare work done on this bar to this bar.
Big positive is that I maintained flat back position with the heavy weight.
Belt kinda helping, not so sure though. Will probably hit 220 for reps next week hopefully with better speed. Having been skimping on Conventional so hopefully I throw some of that in.

Worked up to a PR triple at 220kg but wasn’t the cleanest reps I’ve done recently back position and bar speed wise.
Bench 24 reps total at 100kg
Went well today with more work with two biscuits for a volume PR and two ez PR doubles at 105kg with plenty in the tank.

Back bit fried from the deadlift PR the other day so mostly bench and back seized up a bit into squats so didn’t lol.
Bench went very well though with random unplanned all time double PR, paused PR and touch and go PR. Not peaked or anything either which is cool coming off a volume PR yesterday. Bit of disturbed was all it took. The staff guy was cool with me putting on whatever music because barely anyone in the gym.

Only squeezed in two sets of two before my back started seizing up. Recorded a set from the side and I liked what the bar path was doing.

Running with my girl and neighbours dogs. Intermittently sprinted which was a bad idea given I haven’t run at any speed for years when I was 10kg lighter nevermind sprinting.
So needless to say without a warm up my hip flexors (I think?) are fucked and it’s been almost a week. Can still lift mostly though
