GuineaPig’s Training Log - Hunt 300 Deadlift

I thought they were all staffed 24/7?

This one recently switched to like 6-11pm or something because of low numbers at night.

20/9/19
In the city today. Not for the climate rally but got a sesh in at Doherty’s Melbourne.

Resisted the urge to play with the log press and instead got in some good work on the incline press. Cute little PR with 80kg so I’ll take it.

Back rehab continues and it’s feeling better than ever but still a ways to go I thinks.

Pause Bench 105kg
Incline Bench 80kg
Weighted Dips +16kg
Chest Flyes
Cable Y Raises
Triceps Extension
Face Pull

It’s something to milk for gains. Haven’t hit too much incline Barbell before so there’s PRs to be had

Slow and steady. Will keep working on my back seeing as it’s going alright. The focus is consistently doing the good things to help that along.

Stronger if only a little bit. It ain’t much but it’s honest work

Rehab continues. I dunno where it’ll end up but I’ll keep on going

Bit more weight on the bar for deadlifts today. Feeling very out of practice in the movements.

Not feeling too hot today. Good thing is the back feels aight but overall am feeling dead tired, massive headache, nil appetite and little motivation so went home after. Already learnt my lesson about pulling back when needed.

Back Rehab is going in the right direction but there’s quite a bit too it if I’m to do things properly.

Between walking/being general active as able, back stability, glute activation and actual lifting there’s a lot to do.

I’m thinking that I’ll be switching out some upper body / gym time for rehab and see where that takes me.

Grand final day in the city. Had a while to wait while my girlfriend went out with her mates so got to hit a sesh at Doherty’s Melbourne City.

Highlight was a sloppy new log press PR and a cute little incline bench PR. Close Grip bench was a few more reps than last time but still bit off my best ever (think it was 9 reps paused)

Feels heavy at the front rack but how heavy it feels in the lockout of the press is the real indicator of how close to max I am. Still lots to work on but lots of fun. Clean and front rack position/stability needs the most work.

Did some fuck around “jerks” with the log and I can how it’s the way to lift more weight because it’s like lifting with mostly legs upper body is for lock out and stabilising.

Strong session Guinea

Thanks and welcome back brother.

Not much appetite recently. Annoying.

Back rehab continues. Bit more weight on squats today with one plate. Felt decent enough. No complaints.

Staying with flats for now but will probably throw on the heels again because ankle mobility isn’t the best.

Feel like my legs have gotten smaller RIP

Back Squat 60kg
Front Squat 60kg
Unilateral Leg Press 65kg x 12+
Single Leg Glute Bridge

I’m happy to say that, at one point in my life, I was stronger than guineapig. A miniscule point in time yes, but I’ll take it loool. Kidding aside, glad to see you squatting again
