I have a strong feeling the picture happened to be snapped just as he flexed everything together, but before he flared his lats out. Still, it’s not exactly flattering.

I remember that picture. The ones with Bertil Fox are actually the best I have ever seen him before his comeback.

I agree.
Also, it’s not just in that one haney picture… You see him walk down the street and he just has a narrower structure than most people (skeletal structure, I mean).
But yeah, my hat’s still off to him for actually improving so much over time… Others of his area have not managed that feet as far as I know.
One would expect him to, at most, look fairly similar to his old shape these days, a little smaller maybe… But instead he got way bigger and seems to have no problems due to that… Amazing.
