Grow! Whey Recipes

Anybody tried mixing pop w/ Grow! Whey?

My latest protein shake delight is:

about 1 cup diet pomegranate 7up
2 ice cubes OR a few frozen strawberries
1 or 1.5 scoops Grow! Whey
Blend!

The carbonation w/ the protein makes it fizz up all huge, so this really doesn’t work mixing in just a glass or it will end up all over your counter. Big blender definitely necessary. But wow! Tastes like a fluffy strawberry parfait! YUM!!!

And I know they sell the diet pomegranate 7up at WalMart and Safeway, it’s a new limited time flavor.

Pomegranate has become the most bastardized fruit flavor and will soon go the way of the mojito. For shame :frowning:

Sounds good, though, Anj.

Yeah, but a bastardized cheap artificial flavored version of something doesn’t make the real thing any less delectible, does it?

I had that instead of beer on Thanksgiving and actually enjoyed it. Anything that makes chugging bland protein actually pleasurable, even if only for a short while until I get sick of it, gets 2 thumbs up in my book.

Oh, and while driving cross country recently I bought a bottle of tazo diet mojito green tea, and… it was tasty!

I just found a great way to mix Grow! whey.
Post-workout

1 Scoop Grow! whey
1 scoop Body Fortress Super Creatine Performance drink mix Fruit punch

It taste sweet like pixy sticks and loded with the carbs you need post workout for the insulin. The plus is that it has creatine in it too. The stuff is usually sold at walmart and kroger so it is readily availiable.

Enjoy.

3 scoops Grow!
1/2 cups oats
1 tsp psillium husks
1 tsp cinnamon
5-7g creatine
16 oz. water

shaken, not blended.

Vader, your shake looks friggin awesome.

Am I the only one who walks into the kitchen to make a shake, and just throw’s a whole bunch of stuff into the blender along with protein?

Fruits, nuts, flax, oils, veggies, fiber, spices… It usually tastes alright.

Incidentally, it’s the same way I make marinades. haha.

Give it a shot.

100% pure canned pumpkin mixes well with Grow! Whey sometimes I just spoon a can of pumpkin into a small bowl and mix in 2 or 3 scoops of Grow! Whey, toss in some cinnamon and splenda and it is kind of like pumpkin pie pudding that makes a nice breakfast to eat on the way to class.

eat it with spoon & a tall glass of water or milk.

what does plain pumpkin taste like and what’s good about it?

Nice. I’ll try it but is it good for you?

it’s kinda boring if you don’t sweeten it. & yes, it’s a pretty good for you. Lots of fiber, not a ton of carbs. some vitamins thrown in there.

I haven’t got any Grow!, but I use two scoops Met-Rx whey, 2 heaped tablespoons of peanut butter and 750ml whole milk and blend it all together. Heaven.

If you find yourself questioning what makes a food a healthier choice go to nutritiondata.com it gives you a complete breakdown on a foods vitamin make-up and amino profile and other fun stuff

x2 on the pumpkin. good stuff

One super-secret that i found is to use sugar-free jello pudding mix (in single-serve tubes)

Cottage cheese+pb+milk+grow+oats tastes pretty nasty, unless you add one of these in. mmmm chocolate peanut buttery goodness.

Also- try adding Grow! in with oatmeal. I add 2 packages of blueberry oatmeal, cook them, then add a third package dry, mix it in, and then add Grow!. tastes delicious.

other things i have made-protein bars (3 cups oats, PB (by sight), 4 scoops grow, some milk, cinnamon, honey, and vanilla extract pop the whole thing in the oven and you have a pretty good bar (kinda dry though, still working on it)

Grow! added into pumpkin bread is also very good (substitute the massive amount of sugar with applesauce)

Next up- Grow! pancakes!

16 ounces skim milk
5 raspberries
5 blackberries
10 blueberries
1 banana
1/2 cup oats
2 scoops Grow! whey
1 shake of cinnamon
Blend well
Add a few ice cubes
Blend more

Had for breakfast this morning and it was delicious.

Chocolate-PB_Banana
1 Scoop Whey
8 oz Chocolate Lactose Free Milk
1 Scoop PB
1 Banana
3 ice cubes

Peppermint Patty
8 oz Lactose Free Milk
1-2 teaspoons cocoa
1-2 drops peppermint extract
3 ice cubes

Berry-Oatmeal
8 oz Milk
1 scoop Whey
~1/4-1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
2 tablespoons steel cut oats

i had grape juice today (post workout) for the first time with with my generic unflavoured whey and that tasted amazing.

Today I made one of my best, I just simply added some blueberries, a little bit of milk, two scoops of whey [vanilla flavour], one scoop of peanut butter and just a hint a cinnamon and truth to be told lads it was absolutely mouthwatering…
