What up Grneyes, welcome.
Hi there. Regarding squat depth, perhaps you can have IH video your squats. I often feel like I’m good and BB will tell me I’m just parallel. Basterd. It does help to have someone watching and calling it. Do you think it’s a flexibility issue or just not really feeling where it is?
Not squatting in almost a year? YES you are going to feel that for a while. Just keep at it.
Next Squat Day, if I’m with IH, I will have him video it.
Bench Day!
Stretching
Hypers: 3 x 10 x BW
Bench: 3 x 10 x Bar Just concentrating on form today.
Front Laterals: 2 x 10 x 10
Leg Extensions: 2 x 10 x 40
Seated Calf Raises: 2 x 10 x 45
Preacher Curls: 2 x 12 x 40
So…there’s a regular at my gym who refuses to use clips on bars. He walks in and starts doing shrugs in one of the power racks. 4 plates a side (I think that’s his warm up set), no clips, plates rattling all over the place making the most noise he possibly can. ![]()

Sounds like someone is starved for attention. Tell me he’s a buck 85.

LOL…I wish! No, he actually does look like he works out. His upper back and shoulders are very big. He walks like a duck though, with his feet turned out so it kind of takes away from his awesomeness…

Only if you’re not ready.
Practice.A.LOT.
well hotstuff, how’s the body feeling getting back into things?
Cholulalula, body is feeling okay. Legs take a little while to recover, but nothing too painful. ![]()
Short and sweet today because I have a party to get to tonight.
Stretching
Hypers: 3 x 10 x BW
Pulldowns: 3 x 10 x 60, 1 x 8 x 70
Preacher Curls: 2 x 12 x 40
Lying Leg Curls: 2 x 10 x 50
Walked home from gym since IH wasn’t done yet and he needed to go grocery shopping after.
And that’s all she wrote!
Oh Hai!
Walking home from the gym in the summer is nice.
Oh hai-
I see you in Over 35
i’ll be interested to hear how you find 5/3/1.
I recently brought the book (feeling a bit bad for him how many people do the program without paying the twenty bucks for the program)
But I’ve got a coach so doing what he says rather than 5/3/1…
Squat Day!
Stretching
Hypers: 3 x 10 x BW. Couple more weeks and I think I will add some weight to these. I’ve found since I’ve started doing them that my back doesn’t hurt when dealing blackjack at work. ![]()
5 Retarded Frogs
Squats: 3 x 5 x Bar. IH recorded one set of these which I will upload later tonight. He said that I’m still leaning forward but at least I’m closer to parallel. ![]()
Flys: 2 x 10 x 40, 10 x 45.
BB Curls: 10 x 12.5, 10 x 15.
Ok, here is the vid of the squats today.
Greeny looks solid the only thing I would say maybe move the bar a little farther down your back, placement looked high to me.
