Greatest Character in History of the Motion Picture?

Unless you are 100% certain the name of the character will give away the name of the movie, please include the name of the movie. I mean, if you are going to write Rocky or Indiana Jones or James Bond or Erin Brokovich or Shrek, fair enough. But: W.C. Fields., Det. Harry Calahan, Jeff Spikoli, General Maximus Decimus Meridus??? It would be nice if this confused brother knows which movies they belong to.

Confused One: Godfrey Daniels man! You don’t know who W.C. Fields is? he was in shorts and movies in mostly the 1930s and 1940s. he died in 1946. he is very funny. Det. Harry Callahan is Clint Eastwood from the Dirty Harry movies. Jeff Spicoli is from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Sean Penn played him. And General Maximus Decimus Meridus is Russell Crowe as the Gladiator.

Jeff Spikoli is the surfer dude from Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Great character! That guy busts me up. General Maximum blah blah I think is Russel Crowe’s character in Gladiator. I’m not sure about the other ones.

Sean Connery. Come on guys. Back when the Bond movies were cool and he just fucked chicks and beat the shit out of bad guys. Now he only fucks one chick a movie and has to use a gun to kill people.

Brad Pitt as Tyler Durden. The chemical burn scene.

Choosing only 1 is hard so I won’t, a) Robert De Niro as Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver, “You lookin’ at me?”, b) Arnie in Terminator, lets face it most people still know him as an actor and “T” started a whole new genre of action movies “I’ll be back”, and finally one that most of you won’t have heard of but is a classic NZ movie, “Once were warriors” with Temuera Morrison as Jake the Muss, “cook the man some fuckin eggs!”

I’d have to say Arnold! Definitely. “I’ll be back!” has been used over and over again. Umm, and his other quote also. I just can’t spell it. But it means, roughly, “BYE, BABY!” LOL

Defex: Hasta la vista Baby!

Al Pacino, in “Scent of a Woman”. That was a brilliant performance.
The worst would have to be by all the actors in “The One” with Jet Li. OK movie, but the acting was just non existent.

HELL YEA JAMES BOND! no contest, he got the sexual powers to turn women good. Like with Pussy Galore, she was all like: I don’t need no man I’m gonna go live on an island. Bond just sexualizes her and then she’s like: mmmm… no more spraying evil death stuff on Americans for that Goldfinger guy. James Bond (Sean Connery) is da man.

Toshirô Mifune as the ronin Sanjuro Kuwabatake
in Yojimbo (film by Akira Kurosawa). This
flick was remade as ‘A fistful of dollars’
and ‘last man standing’. Mifune is a total
badass in this flick. Best line (from memory):
“if you thank me again I’ll kill you!”

Blade played Wesley Snipes perfect fit.

Sergent Hartman from Full Metal Jacket… a real mans man

“Carl” in SLINGBLADE played by Billy Bob Thorton

I don’t know what the actors name is but Sgt Hartman was actually a drill instructor hired as a consultant to help the actor who was supposed to play the drill instructor. Kubric saw him and just gave him the part instead. Talk about a part made for an actor.

His name is R. Lee Ermey.

STIFLER!!!

sean connery as bond, plus he had competed in a mr. universe contest. so let’s see one smooth motherfucker, bangin’ till the sunrises, shootin’ bad guys, and lifting weights…everyone else is a distant second, but schwarzenegger’s predator was a cinema classic as well, with a jacked cast, and jessie the body should have won an oscar for best supporting role

Easy. Peter O’Toole as TS Lawrence in “Lawrence of Arabia”. It’s unbelievable to know that Peter O’Toole was virtually unknown before this role and that David Lean (director) wanted either Albert Finney or Marlon Brando as Lawrence. Oh and this was also Omar Shariff’'s introduction to western audiences. Sorry, but I’m a film buff and I consider “Lawrence” to be the BEST movie ever made…

Its a toss up between bill and sean phillips in body for life. Man it won so many awards and changed so many lives lol…jk guys dont kill me…my real answer is this…Stallone in Rambo and Rocky…i dont if its great acting but these are the movies that made me want to jump through the screen and into their lives.
