Great job man!

Great job, very solid for sure. Sorry about this lifting 101 question but, the pictures and the weights just are not adding up in my brain. Just how heavy are the plates that are being used? Either I’m an idiot, or going blind. I’ve said it before, takes a lot of brass to compete at any level.

This federation is an international federation so they use kilo plates. Messes me up too when I try to figure which attempt the pics are for, cause I can’t figure out how much weight is on the bar in each picture.I honestly wasn’t paying attention to the plates, but I’d guess those red plates were 25kg.

Thanks everyone for the remarks! I’m glad I decided to get into these meets, it’s a lot of fun.

Kilo plates. Didn’t think of that. Now that’s bad.

Eleiko plates, none better. Good job DZ. Sorry for the late response. Do you normally take that wide a grip on your deads? Looks almost like a snatch width grip.

I’ve been asked that several times recently Ironman, and I’m glad for it. I’ve never been coached on my deadlifting, and simple started doing what felt comfortable.

But I’ve been frustrated more than once, and wondered why I couldn’t pull more. I’m starting to understand why, and will be working on that this Winter. I feel I’ve got good core, and back strength, so, my form must suck.

After reviewing the meet videos with the ownwer of the gym, he said if I clean up my form, I should be openeing with 407 at my next meet.
