Gran Torino is a Great Movie

Anyone else see this movie yet? God damn it’s a great movie. Eastwood just fills the screen, his portrayal as an old racist son of a bitch, just absorbs you. You just can’t help but love him.

I won’t spoil anything, but if you have seen the trailers you know what the movie is all about. The ending is pretty moving, I don’t think it will move you to tears, but you should be touched.

This isn’t a comedy, but I guarantee you will laugh out loud many times.

Eastwood just pulls it off so well, he really ought to be nominated for an award for his acting. Even for 78 he still has that whole bad ass thing working for him.

Great movie, best I have seen since the Dark Knight. Go see it.

Is it because I’m white?

My facebook status right now is this.

Jared says go see Gran Torino, best movie ive seen since Dark Knight.

Eastwood is freaking amazing, and yes, you will laugh your ass off.

Love the scenes with the barber and the construction foreman.

and you cannot say enough about Clint Eastwood as an actor and director.

Damn, I really want to see this.

Isn’t it set in the Detroit area, too?

I’m on my way to see it in an hour. I’ve been waiting for this type of movie for a while, an old texan taking a stand against gang bangers and thugs. I’m excited!

It takes place, and was actually shot in and around Detroit.

Plays a Korean war vet who worked his entire life at a Ford plant. For how many us does that describe a parent or, in my case, both Grandparents.

Well, they worked at GM, but same idea.

They certainly were a generation of men not afraid of the difficult work.

Definitely one of the best movies of the year so far.

A must see.

Clint Eastwood is still a badass.

I thought Slum edged it out a bit, but still a good movie.
The movie stands on Eastwood though.

Doubt smashes this one as does Slumdog Millionaire

Just got back from seeing it. Man it was awesome!

I was not expecting to laugh as much as I did. The filthy things that came out of Clint’s mouth were priceless.

The sneer of disdain on Clint’s face in the opening scene was just awesome! Definitely set that stage for the rest of the movie.

Powerful ending. Excellent movie.

Really want to see this.

I must agree with those who said this was a grat movie. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it was very funny at times.

The only problem I had was with the scene where Tao is trapped in the basement. That was some really bad acting there.

Although i have yet to see Gran Torino and have no base for comparison, but Doubt was plain old boring. Sure there was good acting in the movie, but i seriously contemplated getting up and leaving.

The day i give I give the nod to a Phillip Seymour Hoffman/Meryl Streep Movie over an Eastwood movie…

Jesus.

I just saw the trailer…
fuck me, C. Eastwood is still such a badass. I definately have to see this movie.

???marley and me for you

“Good job, old man!”
“Shut up you pusssy.”

lmaoooooooo

Clint’s grunts and growls were killing me.

I enjoyed it too. Who else besides Eastwood could pull off being such an intimidating badass at 78?

I definitely recommend this movie to anybody that hasn’t seen it yet. It was very funny indeed which is something I didn’t expect, and the ending was well put together too. I’ve yet to see doubt though, and gonna check out slum tonight

I saw the Broadway play Doubt; it was a snore of a play. You could not pay me to endure it again. I hope the movie is better. We are going out to see Grand Torino or Benjamin Button right now
