Mariana Mazzucato: Government – investor, risk-taker, innovator
As we often hear ad nauseum the government needs to get out of the way and let the private sector take over. Here Ms. Mazzucato defends with facts the true nature of the government when it comes to the market. Those given to ideology worship will not comprehend. Good to be back fellas as I’m sure I was sorely missed.
Yep, that job they did on the Obamacare website was FANTASTIC.
Private sector programmers (including the founders of several large tech companies) said on CNN that the government spent almost 200% more to fail at that website than a private company would have.

Yep, government…the solution lol.
If it wasn’t for the dynamic public sector we wouldn’t have an internet.

THROW MOAR MONIESZ AT IT GUBMENT!!!
It is also silly to think the interwebs wouldn’t be around if it weren’t for government, or to actually think, for one second, had the private sector not done what it did (AOL? lol) that the internet would be what it is today had the government kept total control…

Most reasonable people understand that some amount of government is needed once a population reaches a certain size. Society is made up of all kinds, and order is paramount to society’s survival.
Total government control is no different that anarchy big picture, as it pertains to the individual. Both situations end poorly for the average Joe. Tranny and oppression by those with more resources, which equate to power.
So the best bet is to advocate for as local (which would require it to be small) government as possible, with as little power over the people and markets as possible to help curb corruption, with as many checks and balances as possible, while avoiding pure democracy.
oh I am sorry , I thought you were being facetious

This has to be the lamest, least thought out come back I’ve ever seen on this forum.
I point out government atrocities, you come back with some statement that makes no sense. I then as you if your weed was a little stronger than normal, to which you retort with the equivalent of peewee herman’s “I know you are but what am I”?
Come on. If you can’t even come up with something less corny of an insult, just stop trying.
But to be back on topic, go ahead, defend government. Ask to give them more power, and then complain about how big business buys legislation. I love that little logical merry-go-round you lefties love to babble about…
