Ho Chi Minh started his political career as a Constitutional scholar and great admirer of the American governmental template. He tried to enlist American aid to overthrow French colonial rule in Vietnam, and later to unify the country, but was turned down on all occasions. This prompted an ideological conversion to communism and the founding of the Vietnamese Communist Party - yet another example of the United States creating its own demons through irresponsible meddling in foreign affairs (first supplying aid to the colonial French, then propping up the illegitimate Diem dictatorship in South Vietnam).

You’ll find this was true of many soviet outposts, most notably Cuba (think of how close the world came to ending as a result of this one).

You are ignorant because you only accept one viewpoint as plausible, and dismiss all others as stupid and not worth considering. As a result, you are full of unjustifiable positions. I suspect deep-down you know this, and rather than trying to argue about issues and facts, you make nothing but crude personal remarks.

I suspect you are ignorant because, in this very thread, you respond to points I make by saying you don’t like me, and calling me an idiot. Guess what? no one cares.

You show me a man who does not reconsider his position every single time he hears an opposing aguement, and I will show you a dumb ass. And from what I’ve seen so far, you approach every situation as if you could not possible be wrong; your dismissive tone betrays you.

The fact that you have next to no education doesn’t sway me towards thinking you are ignorant, although it certainly does very little to help change my mind.

No vroom you are much more like a national network than any cable network I know of. You want to be perceived as fair and balanced, but we all know which way your see-saw leans.

Give me an unjustifiable position that I hold. You use generalities and opinions to prove my ignorance. No fact. I’ve asked you to prove my ignorance - not opine on it. There is a difference - but I can certainly see where - void of fact, you must resort to you own unjustifiable opinion.

No - in fact (something that would be nice to see you use) I was answering a question - posed by you no less - when I said I didn’t like you. The only point I was making then was the one I made.
