This is not opera.
It is just pop music sung by people with opera training
Il Divo are more ‘popera’ than opera.
Simon Cowell ‘discovered’ them, so it follows that any true classical elements are going to be watered down. A lot.

That would imply that these guys can actually sing. That can’t. They aren’t signing with any sort of “art music” style. They’re voices are thin, the vibrato is weak and they apparently can’t hear that they aren’t matching pitch. No blend on the bigger parts, so voices stick out and it doesn’t sound coherent.
Real signing:
King Singers: - YouTube
Im Dorfe, from Winterreise by Franz Schubert
That was just painful to watch/listen too.
The King Singers are amazing. They sound like a human instrument.

Then you should listen to more of them. I was not trying to make up your mind for you. Listen to what you like. But if you do like this psuedo-operatic sound, I would encourage you to find a local performance of an Opera and check it out. Don’t expect it to be in English, though some places will perform English translations of opera.
Take a girl. It’s a “classy” date idea.
Another group for ‘popera’ is the Ten Tenors.
I kinda like the ‘One is not enough’ CD. the Youtube clips are mostly tv/lo-res, but can give you an idea.

It might even be fun:
