Yeah, if I was fat, out of shape, tired all the time, no libido, marriage that sucks and I’m a pussy at work, I’d be irritable too.
Do I know you!? Its like you know me…
@highpull @roscoe88 @dextermorgan @systemlord ok…I just got my labs back. I lost 45 pounds in the last two months working hard at the gym and running two miles a day. This is my report. I dont know what it means. My total is oretty shitty my my free t is non existent. Ive been eating very well and sleeping as much as I can with melatonin. What do you experts see? I have my consultation before treatment on Thursday. They said I definately needed treatment though.
You total T is high, free is low and E2 is low. I’m sure it had to do with having high SHBG. The good thing is TRT should bring the SHBG down and give you a more even ratio at least compared to current. I don’t have SHBG issues so I’m not the most informed on the matter. Seems high SHBG sucks, low SHBG sucks and mid causes no issues. Mine is 39.9. Anyways, from what I see I would rather have an 80 SHBG pre-trt than 20 and you see a lot of 20’s around here.
You may need higher doses of T than some to get the same benefit.
Your pituitary gland is just not doing what it’s supposed to do when FT is low, even if it was the SHBG is a real problem that would force TRT upon you anyway.
I eat a keto/paleo diet. Drink rarely. I take a b12 and b6 supplement but maybe its not very good? As long as trt can turn this around then I am ok with that. The low estrogen would explain my creaky knees and elbows.
At this point I wouldnt say force…I would say welcome…it explains a lot. Would boron help ? What is with the high MCV and high MCH?
The regular b12 pills are crap. You need sublingual lozenges that you let dissolve under your tongue or you get b12 shots. The mcv & mch is why I recommended b12. I tried the regular b12 pills for years and they did nothing. The sublingual lozenges will have an enormous effect on day 1. It’s crazy how much better I feel.
It’s $8 for 2 months worth.
Solgar - Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B12) 1000 mcg, 60 Nuggets
Buying them now…thanks!
A week after you start taking them please update on how you feel.
Will do.
There is an inverse relationship with insulin and SHBG. Low insulin levels = higher SHBG
higher insulin levels = lower SHBG
While I was intermittent fasting my SHBG was always 31-38. When I stopped IF, my SHBG dropped to 27.
I wonder if your were to introduce some low glycemic carbs into your diet, that might help to naturally lower your SHBG some.
@bcostigan41. I eat squash and some fruit… Does that count? About 5 cups worth a week.
The losanges will be here in two or three days.
Maybe, more than likely not by enough to not need TRT.
Could be alcoholism, liver disease and macrocytic anemia.
Definitely need testosterone. I’d start with 150mg but expect you’ll end up taking more.
By the way, I would avoid anyone claiming to be an expert, not that anyone has made that claim. An expert should be smart enough to know they are not an expert.
@simbosis
By the way I seem to get the most out of the B12 when I take it on an empty stomach and at least an hour after coffee.
