Going to Urologist on Thursday Morning

Hi

HCT and Hb are borderline low, how is your iron status? You are close to being anemic. Do you have any recent labs including ferritin?

If you want to change your pgysician and you are afraid of being ignored just because you score within the low normal range there is a little trick to reduce your morning T levels by 25 to 30%. Have a carbohydrate rich breakfast, or best trink a solution of 50g sugar 1h before blood is collected. This will drop your T eg from 350 to 250 and thus into the hypogonadal range.

Thanks for the tip. I am getting labs done now, gave them my blood this morning. Got my physical too…should have results back in 4 to 7 days. At that point I will be talking with my new doctor and he will orescribe me two months worth. I am done with primary care. This has to be done out of pocket I think. Thats the route I’m taking. Emotions have been a rollercoaster the last two days. I am ready.

Yea…I walked out on him. Between my hormones and his attitude…I couldnt even sit through his shaming talk.

I will have new numbers in a couple days. That old test is three years old.

When he said one shot every other week I told him that I didnt want to crash after one week and needed it far more often. He asked me how often I thought I should administer…I said every 3 and a half days…he said that was a dangerous stacking effect…thats when I knew he wasnt for me.

Thanks I appreciate that. I went with a group that system lord pointed me to. So far i love them and their help and attitude. Made me comfortable and at ease that they actually cared and could help.

Congrats!

My HCT is lowest on daily injections, your doctor is ignorant by choice. Something tells me he is not speaking from experience and imaging it will be a problem. The doctors that push the boundaries on medicine and experiment are at the top of their field, it was once thought you needed to inject intramuscular until doctors challenged it by injecting patients SQ into fat tissue.

Is SQ better?

I personally tried both and feel the same on either. I like IM more because on daily shots I feel like I can feel the T kicking in (very mild) whereas sub-q I didn’t. Both made me feeling equally as good. As far as one’s effect on things like hematocrit etc I’m not sure. I’ll be getting blood work soon and will be able to answer that as I have bloods from sub-q daily same dose as current IM daily.

Very interested to here the results. If I am injecting two different prescriptions twice a week…it’s nice to have options.

Hey all. I am going out for a suppliment run. I read the stickies and here is what I found…
Magnesium.
Zinc.
ZMA?
Boron.
Iodine (ladoral)
Selenium.
CoQ10.
Vitamin D, K, A.
Potassium.
Am I missing anything? I take a multi vitamin, vitamin B, fish oil, and vitamin D.
Recomended doses? Trying to get ahead of adrenal fatigue that I know will happen if I dont start this now…

Do you even have your blood tests back yet?

There is no doubt in my mind I am low and will be treated…however…even if on the off chance I am not…these are needed regardless.

That’s a whole lot of assumptions thinking you’ll need all of those. I’m not saying you won’t need some of them, you probably will, but I wouldn’t start off with everything.

Some people do horrible on zinc for example. I wouldn’t add that much stuff and TRT at once.

Start with T only and go from there or wherever blood tests point you

You probably do not need zinc AND ZMA, don’t take iodine. Selenium is probably unnecessary, and you should disregard anything in the stickies by KSman or regarding thyroid.

Ok. i wasnt sure…was trying not to be that guy that diesnt do the search function and stickies…how about the ZMA?

Here’s what I take:
Magnesium glycinate 400mg
Boron 3mg
Vit D 5000mg
Vit K (mk-7) 100 mcg
B12 sublingual 1000mcg lozenges (non sublingual has no effect)

If you need help with sleep
Tryptophan 500mg
Melatonin 5mg (I take 2.5mg)

@dextermorgan Thanks man. I picked up a stockpile today and the ones you listed seem to be pretty important. Thats what the internet says …Its like I am waking up to what it means to actually take care of myself…like before? I thought I was…diet and working out and trying to hit vague marks but…now? This is all new territory and making me kind of angry with myself and my doctors. I let misinformation and my own laziness destroy my life so far… No more!

While on my searches I have come accross some very anti TRT sites were women claim trt is destroying their lives and marriages and turning men into violent and abusive sex crazed monsters… But then you run into stuff like “Irritable male syndrome” that says tottally the opposite…that low T, modern stresses, the loss of male identity, and job stress turn men into monsters. I have to go with irritable man syndrome.
