Going Banana's in '09

Ive recently been feeling knackered as fuck in the morning and have to really get myself up for workouts. just purely lacking on energy the past week.

Am i overtraining? doubtful in my opinion.

Do i need more sleep at night? - im prob getting 7-8 hours most nights but it is interrupted.

Or is it just a side effect of the diet?

Scott[/quote]

I would wager, but may be wrong, that its because you’ve been following a semi-low carb diet, instead of the original diet you were going for.

The beef and nacho shit didnt help things, either.

I think that if you get quality sleep and give yourself two weeks of straight up no bullshit less than 30g of carbs/day food intake you’ll have a bit more energy.

BUT - its still a lower Calorie diet, after all, and energy intake will suffer a bit. Part of the game.

It feels a bit different than lack of energy, kind of like brain/body fog.

So im going to stop takeing the ALCAR.

The next 2 weeks should be good sleep and good diet as ill be at home and have all the food i need. and 24 hour access to a gym

One little problem i will have is not being able to take the supps i need home. I think i will be able to take home enough whey for PWO. and multis. I think ill also be able to take my BCAAs home but will have to buy fishoil at home.

Scott

This is your brain expecting glucose. It takes a while for it to get used to metabolizing lactate and ketones. This fogginess does pass. Stick with it!!

I didn’t really think about that.

This is my third day without flavourings, so i should be hitting below 30g carbs a day now. It would make sense then, since its seemed to creep up on me over the past few days.

how long to pass do you think?

Red bulls and ribena!!

Are these not high in sugar or are you getting the sugar free versions?

Scott,

If you’re getting woken by flatmates, go into the chemist and get some foam earplugs. They’re only a few quid for a pack of 2 or 3 pairs in Superdrug and I’ve discovered, that although they block out most noise, you can still hear an alarm on your mobile if you need to get up.

I used to get woken up by noisey and or drunk people all the time at Uni and often I’d have to get up at 6am to go rowing (always seemed like a good idea the night before lol). Used to try and get my own back by making alot of noise myself when I got up

Anyway I wish I’d known about earplugs back then. Very useful for those nights when you don’t want to be disturbed…esp Fri and Sat at Uni I’d imagine!

Yea the “diet” versions, which are supposed to have no carbs.

8? with butter? How large are these eggs? I would imagine this is somewhere in the relm of 560 Calories from the eggs alone, with the butter possibly adding another 100-200 more Calories from fat.

That is too much. Drop it down to 6 whole eggs, nix the butter, and maybe have a scoop of whey.

Exactly what I was thinking. Scott… I’ve seen you do the 8 eggs with butter before. Average cals for a medium egg is 70 so NewDamage is bang on the money here. Surely you feel full after 5 boiled eggs?
