Sorry, I think the unwritten rule is 50

Thanks for posting the news ksnap. It should be quite a journey. I really don’t have much to post about workouts yet, maybe down the road. Right now I am just training to train, build a base, rehab some nagging stuff, etc etc.

Have a happy and safe thanksgiving everyone.

And to you!

Looks like lots of good work going on in the logs as well as people dealing with some bumps in the road. I’m about 9 or 10 weeks from next meet so I’m going to try to keep up a log.

Wednesday’s workout
some foam roll and joint mob, 10 min bike warm-up, hip activation stuff

Conv deads - raw (no belt)
worked up to 500x5. Used a tendo to record speed, down a bit since last summer but hopefully it will climb

Front squat (belt)
185/205/225/245 x3
Used tendo, kept adding as long as I could maintain speed

Hip thrust (shoulders on bench)
155/3x10
2-3 count hold at the top
Had to focus on using glutes evenly

Bike cool down
Stretch

500x5 beltless is beyond strong G. My recollection is you were somewhere near 570 in your last meet.

Are you shooting for 600+ at the meet?

I haven’t done them in a while, was thinking I would start with 3x10…not even close. I heard that quote at a clinic I was at…made sence. Thanks for following.

Bike/stretch/squat warm-up
Power clean
175/3×5
Squat
315/3×5 w/belt and loose sleeves
Rdl
225/275/315 ×5
Stretch

Nice work G1.

I have a request if you have time. Could you film a couple of your deadlift sets from the side from set up to finish? Your form pulling may be the best I have ever seen and I for one and I’m guessing many others would benefit from trying to mimic it. Thanks, Dave

Wow, thank you for that comment. I will be pulling from the floor late next week so I will tape it and post. I don’t know if it will work for others but it works for me so far, still needs cleaning up though.

His squat form ain’t too bad either…and his pecs…errr, I mean…never mind!

(In like a fanboy!)

p.s. Dave, if you read some of Emskee’s advice for the deadlift, I personally think it’s the best I’ve ever read for lifting “correctly” (although he’s not as pretty as G1, but who is???).

Hey PG lol. Emskee’s deads are so smooth!
