'Go To' Song of 2009

So, looking back at last year and all that progress you made in the gym, all the mass you put on, all the fat you lost, all the PR’s you set, what was that one “GO TO” song when you needed that little bit of musical energy, adrenaline, inspiration?

Mine:

* Doesn’t have to be a song released in 2009…

“Reclamation” by Lamb Of God. Played the shit out of that one.

Go Hard or Go Home by E-40

“Live your life” TI and Rihanna

“Paper Planes” MIA

Both super trendy, but whatever.

Anything by Hatebreed but this especially:

Beginning of 2009

End of 2009

These are for singles or 2-3 rep sets.

If I’m going for a more moderate rep range the songs change.

Sick puppies - war

Sick Puppies - Your going down

L L - Mama said knock you out

Team america - F**k ya

System of a Down.

Our Lady Peace - Whatever

I first hit 300lbs to that song on bench and every time I would go for that, this is the song I listened to.

After getting hurt and as I was making that come back

Alice in Chains - Man In A Box

…still making that come back.

The Grudge by Tool, specifically 6:48-7:22, Nothing will beat that for me.

My song for 2009 was strange and beautiful from Mudvayne’s new album. Great fucking songs on that album.

That’s one I never expected to see on a list like this.
But if it gets your blood pumping, it works right!

You bet! Nothing gets me psyched up for a set of deadlifts like a song about teenage obsession. LIGHTWEIGHT BABY!

Maino ft. T-pain - All the Above. Favourite song of 09. One of my favs of all time actually.
“See me come up from nothin, nothin, to me livin my dreams”. Helped me through tons and tons of training sessions, new PRs and life in general. Song doesn’t start till about 0:20 into the video.

I dare anyone to watch this entire video and not understand where Kanye was coming from :D.

U Let me Grow - eMC (Ace, Strick, Punch & Words): eMC - U Let Me Grow - YouTube

Hip-Hop is a form of expression, don’t get it miscontrued with this pop made by T-Pain, Lil’ Wayne etc., yes, they may rap, but, they do not fall under the category of hip-hop.
