You should realize that a lot of Yankee fans can’t stand Steinbrenner, myself included. The great team of the mid 90’s until recent was put together when he was banished from the game. Gene Michael was the brains behind that team.

Showalter coaches Texas. He pulled most of his starters after the third in the last game agains the Angels. If Tex or Yankees won, then NY would have had home field advantage instead of flying out to CA. I thought it was weird to complain about it as well. Torre didn’t treat the game seriously or he would have had Mussina in and use a better rotation in the bull pin. Tex had a 4 nothing lead when Buck decided to put in some other players for the fans to see (as he says on espn).
