Hi everybody,
My subject is about glycemic index and glycemic load.
Everybody looks at the glycemic index of food, and that`s right, but I thin that it is much more important the glycemic load.
I think that the insulin levels raise more with 4 apples than with a rice snack( even if the rice snack has a glycemic index higher thatn apple).
And here arrive my question: how much the glycemic load must be in order to raise the insulin levels?
I think that 1 yougurt( sugars gr 7)can`t raise the insulin levels; eating more than 1 can begin to raise it. But there is any scientific rule for the glycemic index?
And eating something with glycemic index high, mixed with healthy fats( almonds, peanut butter…)that slower the digestion can be useful to keep the insulin under control?
Thank you very much,
snake
