How does glutamine work? On my bottle it says “cell volumization”. I wrestle and olympic lift, and I’m considering taking glutamine to speed up the recovery process. I do NOT want to put on water weight, though, like creatine would do? Does glutamine work similarly, or is it OK to take (does not make me hold water).


as far as i know glutamine is considered an essential ammino acid and necessary for protein synthesis. so to incrase muscle tissue you need it to be present in your body. glutamine should not work anything like creatine would. it shouldn’t cause any type of bloating, but if you take it in too large of amounts it may cause dirrehea by disrupting the osmotic balance of the intestines.
