And Earth’s atmosphere is thicker or thinner than Venus’?
I know what albedo is. Is Earth’s albedo closer to Venus’ or Mars’? And despite having a higher albedo than both Earth and Mars, it’s drastically warmer.
The atmosphere, not the CO2. Insolation is a huge factor wrt to the warmth compared to Mercury. It’s a huge factor wrt the warmth contrast between Venus, Earth, and Mars. The total component of Venus’ albedo, insolation, proximity to the sun, and atmospheric makeup (among other factors) are the reason why it’s warmer.
The Earth will never have the amount of atmosphere or the composition of atmosphere that Venus has. The Earth will never have the albedo Venus has (and if it did it would be frigidly cold).
As I said, saying Venus proves CO2 causes global warming is like saying matches prove global warming. And this is the problem with much of the GW science. It doesn’t all boil down simply to; CO2 = Warm.
