Girl With the Most Cake

Maschy, I like the idea of a snatch video. I’ll trade one of mine for one of yours.

Greeney, thanks so much for the encouragement. Squat re-hab is a drag, but a necessary drag.

Joe and I didn’t miss this one either.
Snatch jokes…always funny.

I think you missed my necklace reference. You’re in bed, wearing sexy lingerie and a ‘pearl necklace’. Maybe it’s a geographical thing :([/quote]

I did not miss this reference, but decided to keep quiet as I can never tell whether something like that is intended, or whether it’s just my mind that won’t get out of the gutter.

everybody but kimba got it, it’s not a geographical thing

giterdone, I do so love snatch jokes. Luckily I also like snatching, so it works out.

Frzn, there is no holding back 'round here. Gutter-mind is a common denominator.

George, for sure I need to work on my double entrendres.

Today’s training was a hour and a half bike ride and 13 chinups (5/5/3). I need to train chinups more, because only five reps in a set is weak sauce for me.

What was your previous best?

Oscar Wilde once said that all of us are in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars. Me? I’m looking at the used condom someone left there last night. A filthy mind is a wonderful thing.

If I tried to do chins after an hour and half bike ride they’d have to bring the chin up bar to the side of the road where I was having my calf cramps.

Sounds like good work to me.

Cal is quoting Wilde swoons

Joe: I bet ya if Kimba was wearing her little biking shorts you’d be inspired to stand up and pretend you didn’t have any cramps. egos are strong little things.

Or, I’ll speak for Joe here, stay seated out of, well, necessity.

^zing! you beat me

“I have nothing to declare but my genius,”

What, exactly, are you calling little?

I do love women in tight fitting shorts.

Pfft, one thing I’m not is shy.

Stand tall and proud, my man, tall and proud.

giterdone, my very bestest day doing chinups was 10 in a row. But I noted that day my BW was about a pound low and I was nekkid (yes, these were AT HOME). Seriously, a pound of weight and a pound of clothes makes all the difference when you are me.

N., I join you in swooning over Cal. That girl is never at a loss for an entertaining turn of phrase.

Joe, the two sets of 5 were before the bike ride and the last weak set of 3 was afterwards. It was cold here so I was wearing long tights, not shorts. Sorry. And I totally believe that you aren’t shy.

I was looking through the articles on this site yesterday and I came across this one which talked about weak VMOs contributing to knee cave in squats:

I asked my ART girl today if I have weak VMOs and she said yes, indeed. So a combo of weak abductors and weak VMOs is probably screwing my squats. I’ll be adding those exercises to my rehab days.

I’m curious about how the ART girl figured out the weak VMO situation. Does she use weights or resistance?

She holds my leg and then asks me to push against her resistance in various positions. Then from that she apparently gauges strength or weakness. I had a physical therapist tell me the same thing (weak vastus medialis) before too.

All of this rehab is just so. tiresome. Its so easy to get the “prescription” and then gradually stop doing the corrective exercises.

nekkid chin ups!!!

Yeah my ART girl does that. Then she grinds her thumbs into my painful bits and makes me (almost) cry.
I haven’t been to her since I lost my last job, actually. Been in the new one three weeks now but won’t get paid until 22nd so that’s unlikely to change.
I have to agree about the tediousness of corrective exercise, though.

my head’s about to explode in here with the nekkid chin ups, pearl necklaces, and now the art girls thumbing cal’s painful bits. lol
